2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I'm wondering why the OP hasn't posted anything since ? Hopefully that means she has been busy with the vet and care of the pup.

Judgmental, gee when someone asks for advice you give it, I wasn't judging this person as a whole being and neither was anyone else they were commenting on the care the pup should receive. What's your purpose for your comments? If and when anyone with more than air between their ears has an accident they take the proper measures...IMHO> that's the can we do better!!!! Quote:

You are kidding, right? You want judgemental, I'll give you judgemental. The OP's biggest concern was making sure the pup didn't have a headache after falling 6 feet on to a wood floor and not being able to move his legs. The thought of a head injury, spinal injury, concussion, or internal bleeding didn't cross their minds. This is someone who shouldn't have a house plant in their care, let alone a living breathing animal. Hopefully, this little pup has an angel looking out for it's well being because obviously it's owner doesn't have enough sense to. Is that judgemental enough for you? If not, I've got more. Maybe if people were a little bit MORE judgemental people would start being held accountable for their actions and the world wouldn't be such a messed up place.

| Update! It is good! Hello everyone, I would like to give an update after the big fall. Chipper is doing great! He is running and playing as usual. There have been no problems since the accident. When he fell he only cried for less than a minute, and was able to walk and run after a minute or two. I checked his eyes at that time and they were normal, not glassy. I felt his body all over and it felt normal and he did not show any pain while I did it. He laid down and rested for a couple of hours and there was no crying or expression of pain. I watched him the entire time. Yes, I searched online while I watched him nap to see what other peoples' experience have been, and that is how I found YT. I posted to get advice. I did not rush him to the emergency because he walked and ran immediately after he fell, and he wasn't even crying. If something was broken or he was hurting he would let me know. I spoke to the vet, and he said that as long as Chipper is behaving normally and not showing signs of pain, limping, or anything unusual, then he should be fine. If anything changes and he shows signs that something is wrong, I will bring him in for an exam. I have been watching him non-stop since this happened, just in case, and he has been just as playful and perfect as ever! I appreciate the care and concern. I felt terrible that he fell and I will have to be more careful and put him down when he is squirming. I am lucky that he is such a sturdy 3 pound puppy! To explain the 6 feet fall: I am almost 6 feet tall, and when Chipper started squirming I began to fumble him. As I am not a football player, I fumbled up instead of towards the ground, so at the point that I lost hold of him my hands were above my head. I learned my lesson - if a fumble begins, hands go down! Again, thanks for the concern. Chipper is fine and I just took a photo to show you how cute he is! Jessica and Chipper |

At all times, but especially when they're babies -- I would err wayyyyy on the side of caution. He's only been a living creature for 14 weeks -- that's a very vulnerable creature. I would so appreciate an update, and I truly hope this baby is okay. My Marcel was a very, very tiny puppy and I'm lucky to have gotten thru some close calls with him; some of the odd moments were my fault (not knowing better or whatever), and some were/are just simple accidents - which are part of life. Just please be really careful and take him in, the worse case scenario wouldn't be worth second guessing whether or not to take him. Good luck and please keep us posted.
