He is running and playing as usual. There have been no problems since the accident. When he fell he only cried for less than a minute, and was able to walk and run after a minute or two. I checked his eyes at that time and they were normal, not glassy. I felt his body all over and it felt normal and he did not show any pain while I did it. He laid down and rested for a couple of hours and there was no crying or expression of pain. I watched him the entire time. Yes, I searched online while I watched him nap to see what other peoples' experience have been, and that is how I found YT. I posted to get advice. I did not rush him to the emergency because he walked and ran immediately after he fell, and he wasn't even crying. If something was broken or he was hurting he would let me know.

I spoke to the vet, and he said that as long as Chipper is behaving normally and not showing signs of pain, limping, or anything unusual, then he should be fine. If anything changes and he shows signs that something is wrong, I will bring him in for an exam. I have been watching him non-stop since this happened, just in case, and he has been just as playful and perfect as ever!

I appreciate the care and concern. I felt terrible that he fell and I will have to be more careful and put him down when he is squirming. I am lucky that he is such a sturdy 3 pound puppy!

To explain the 6 feet fall: I am almost 6 feet tall, and when Chipper started squirming I began to fumble him. As I am not a football player, I fumbled up instead of towards the ground, so at the point that I lost hold of him my hands were above my head. I learned my lesson - if a fumble begins, hands go down!

Again, thanks for the concern. Chipper is fine and I just took a photo to show you how cute he is!

Thanks for the update, so glad he is okay! We all were there in prayers and support for you. As you can see we all love our furbabies and are glad you are a member here. A belly scratch and rub to Chipper...I would probably still keep a pretty close eye on him.
