No, they did not culture her.....I asked today about that but now she has been on all of these antibiotics. We talked about MRSA...don't think it is that. I certainly pray it is not. It does not seem like staph...but you never know.

That is amazing after everything the poor baby has gone through. She will make someone a wonderful pet when she gets better. So glad the vet and staff has been so good to her.

Yea, I wondered about that being MRSA since it is being so difficult to beat. Would IV antibiotics help? I know that is what they do for people who have difficult infections.

She was on IV antibiotics in the beginning and it was at the recommendation of the specialist that she go on oral meds. My vet has consulted with them throughout all of this.

I was just over there and her neck looks awful now on that right side. The entire thing is erupting and looks like it is going to be as bad as the other side. Keep in mind that normally they would have gone in but with her severe weight loss and pneumonia they could not anethetize her. That might change today since her chest xray is improved. It would still frighten me, but I would so love for them to get in there and put some drains in.

I will know more later this afternoon after she goes there....I hope they have some kind of ideas. This is just so awful.

Oh Linda it's so sad that Summer is still having so many problems. I so hope they are able to find out what is going on with this precious baby. Prayers still continue for her.
