I loved going with LadyJane today to pick Summer up from Texas A&M. What a precious, little being she is. She has been through so much and looks so helpless in her neck wrap and cone. They have shaved her in several places for IV's and had lubricant put in her little eyes...still when she saw LadyJane, I think she remembered her. I wasn't sure until LJ got out of the car for a second and Summer let out a small cry and whimper until she came back. A&M said she had gained a pound, but she is still so tiny and frail. I think now that she is with LJ, that will change and she will put on some weight. She is a beautiful little girl that is so sweet in spite of all that she has been through. She slept the whole way home in my arms - I only wish she knew the best part of her life now lies ahead of her. Thanks LJ, for letting me share today with you. I loved getting to meet Summer and see first hand how far she has come since the original pictures that were posted. She truly is a miracle!

Oh my goodness she has been through so much. It is just heartbreaking to think about. But she will be living on the positive side of life now. Her future will be so much better! So glad she is home and on her way to recovery!

Thanks for sharing that. I am so glad she has LadyJane to see her better. Poor baby, I pray for her speedy recovery and a much deserved life with someone who will truely love her and take care of her. Bless you Lady Jane for all you do. Hang in there precious Summer you have a better life coming ahead and alot of people praying.

Sweet little girl. She has to be very happy to be home and out of the hospital. Now she just needs lots of love and to heal.

She's so sweet and looks so pitiful. That was so nice of Lolasmom1211 to go along on that long trip. I'm sure Summer loved being held all of the way home. She deserves being cuddled. So nice to see she is eating well. I'm sure she will continue to improve under Linda's loving care.

I took Gabby along since my son is just not into the "expressing" thing. He came to my home to let my pups out because it is a 2.5 hour trip each way....and of course we were there for what seemed like forever. Gabby does very well in the car. And, Lolasmom1211 went along thank goodness. It was so nice to have her company and I know Summer loved being held by her on the way home.

Her neck is wrapped so I have not seen it, but the student said she is basically stitched from one side of her neck to the other. I had her E Collar off for a while and she jumped when I put it back on..made me feel so sad. She does have pain meds to take....and ice is to be applied 3 times/day.

AWWW I'm so glad to hear she is out of the Hospital. I pray for continued healing.
I just love the her sweet face. I was happy to see Lola's Mom went with you. I know she was a great comfort to you.

That was so very nice of you to go with LJ to pick up Summer.
AND so not fair you got you to see Summer and Gabby up close and personal. I know you were a great comfort and company to LJ on the trip and back.

How nice of you to go along with Linda to help bring Summer home. It's so cute that she whimpered for Linda to come back to the car.

Even with all she has been through and with the collar, it is clear that Summer is a beautiful girl.
