Absolutely this girl deserves the best life that can be given to her. She is such a special pup who has had a rough life even before this, if her ear tells us anything. My heart just melts when I see her.

Yep, that too.

That poor sweet baby - her entire neck had to be sewed up!

I can't wait until she is all healed and finds that perfect family where she can be the one and only princess for the rest of her days.

Oh, and to think the infection was all through there. They had all of that area open and they were packing it every day. They did keep her heavily medicated, but I am sure it had to hurt at times. Poor little baby. The student had told me it was really, really deep. I could not believe how many sutures there were ... so all of that was laying open the entire time she was in there.

Oh, and another thing we found today. There is a two inch scar that runs down her neck on the right side. I just cannot begin to think of what has happened to this poor baby.

Breaks my heart..I can't even imagine. To look at that sweet face and think all the things she has endured. I am so glad she has such an amazing future ahead of her. It is time for her to shine!

I hope that whoever it was that had Summer comes close to suffering at least some of the pain that she did. There is absolutely no excuse for letting an animal go thru this, absolutely none!

It almost sounds like this sweetheart was used as bait for a fighting dog. I guess that isn't likely, but how many times can she get seriously injured innocently!!

All that proves (we all already knew) that didn't "just happen" as the girl said that took her in. She needs charges brought against her.

Summer's wound continues to have drainage and my vet is concerned about it. A call has been placed to the vet at Texas A & M

She gained another ounce for a total now of 11 ounces!!! She will hit 6 pounds soon.
