Sending prayers for Summer. Linda, I am thankful every day for you and people like you who take care of these pups in desperate need of care. I don't even have the strength to look at the pictures because it will break my heart. :(

I am just sickened by this. :( I can't even fathom letting a dog suffer or have wounds like that for so long. People are so disgusting. Poor helpless little girl. I am so glad she is getting the proper treatment and the help she needs. She sounds like a fighter so I have faith that she will make it through!

I'm praying for this precious little one. Poor baby must be in pain but she still has such a beautiful face. I hope she is restored to good health and finds a wonderful family that will give her all the love that she needs and deserves.

People are such freaking dimwits sometime.

Hello? When your yorkie has an open, oozing, gaping wound ~ guess what? TIME TO SEE A VET.

Prayers for little Summer. This breaks my heart, terribly. Would just love to cuddle her and give her the love that she deserves. Poor little thing, hope she comes out of it all okay. Please keep us updated on the beautiful little girl.

She was drugged up in that first photo. I did not see her when she first got there as I was at the groomer when they called. I asked them if they could take her to my vet and then I went there after. My vet said that she was actually perky and wagging her tail when they brought her in. Hard to imagine. :(

I honestly don't know how those people who work at AC can stand seeing these things....they see the people. I would seriously lose it. They are angels to do what they do.

I will definitely update tomorrow ... I will be calling them first thing tomorrow. I so hated leaving her there tonight but I am sure she is resting. Dragging her here to my house and then taking her back tomorrow would have been traumatic for her.

Poor little sweetheart :( It truly is a miracle that she survived an attack from a Doberman (or any other large breed). They wounds around her throat could have ended her life in a second. I'd have to agree if this was really a random dog attack the police would have been called for an loose aggressive dog.

When they do the debridement will they sedate her?

Yeah...I am amazed that she survived. She is also missing her right ear. I have heard that mills do that if a dog has a tattoo....but I am more inclined to think that perhaps it is from a previous altercation.

Yes, the will sedate her!

My heart breaks for her. I am really thankful there are people like you. I can't even imagine the pain she is in. Just so discusting that so many think vet care is an option. Seriously infuriates me.

Which Saturday did you say the attack happened. I know that dog bites are really bad ,but those wounds look older than just 3days.

Oh, that is so awful - poor Summer. I cannot even imagine the pain she must have been enduring. Makes me cry that such a terrible thing could happen.

Bless you for being her angel and saying a prayer for you both.

Just absolutely amazing the rotten people who exist on this earth & put these innocent helpless little ones in harms way and then refuse to care for the consequences of their neglect!:mad:

Linda...I can't help but, doubt those are fresh wounds especially if these are already necrotic...? Is that possible or is it more likely these were just neglected wounds?

I swear I am becoming more and more bitter towards humans every day and realize exactly why it is that I love my Yorkies (& Kitty) more & more!:rolleyes:
