| There would not be one moment of hesitation or contemplation on my part if this were me.

| Your vet is supposed to report ANY dog attack. I would also make sure that there is a police report. AC needs to make sure that the dog that attacked your baby has had its shots,if not the dog will be going to quarantene, they will also fine him. If the city requires registration then he will get fined for that as well. Let the law do their job,he isnt a neighbor,he is just some jerk living next door,,,there is a difference. If I had a neighbor that allowed their big dog to attack on my property,my response to him would be that he needed to keep the dogs off of my property for their own safety. He should be ashamed of hisself!! |

| Are you KIDDING me? What (or who) the H-E double toothpicks does he think he is? If you even consider his threats, you'll be kicking yourself in days, weeks, and months to come because he will then feel 10 feet tall and bullet proof!!! You will be doing yourself and the neighborhood a favor by reporting him and then if he does not pay the vet bill, then its time for small claims court. You have the LAW on your side. |

| i know this is not relevent to your baby, but my neighbor's goat got attacked by my other neighbors pitt bull dog. The goat's owners filed a police report along with the info from the vet, and the humane society was called in and told the owner 2 things; keep your dog on a leash at all times, and pay the goat's vet bill. It's law in most all states. |

| You can tell by all the responses so far that the YT community is unanimous in thinking you should report the incident both to animal control and to the police despite the intimidation. I agree, but would add that if I were living next to such a bully I'd be VERY careful from now on. When you report, he could try to retaliate - not just by refusing to pay the vet bill but by doing something worse - don't want to list all the possibilities, but I'd be afraid NOT to have my baby on a short leash from now on. When you're dealing with a bully, it's hard to know what their limits are. No need for paranoia, but just be careful with little Parker. |

| If your neighbor wants his dogs to run when he lets them out he had better fence his yard. I concur with all of the previous messages. If you have to go to small claims court for the vet bills, see about having your dog and his brought into the court -- that would probably solve things pretty quickly as to who attached who. Glad you pup is feeling better. Hope the limp goes away - does you vet expect it to resolve?

| I have to agree with the others and I would report this owner. I would be very careful with your dog from now on because this jerk of an owner refuses to be responsible for controlling their dogs. Parker, you, and your other neighbors could be attacked by these dogs in the future because they all ready have that lust to attack and this owner is unwilling to secure his dogs. Good luck and keep safe.

| I agree with everybody. I wouldn't give it a second thought I would have been on the phone five minutes later. This guy is a bully and a jerk. Don't let him scare you. It's too bad you couldn't get the conversation on tape. Not only would he be paying your vet bill but he would have his dogs removed. |

| OMG what a BULLY Please DO file reports with the Police and Animal Control immediately! I'm so glad that your baby is going to be okay, thank God, but what about the next time you're outside with your baby and these dogs come charging up? Not only will your little dog be hurt/killed, but you would be in danger as well What if next time it's someone's small child they attack? This guy is trying to intimidate you, and he sounds like a moron. There's no such thing as "filing a petition" so that you can't walk your leashed dog, past his property. He is breaking the law by letting his dogs run loose, and what makes his dogs have more rights than anyone else's?!?! He's got a lot of nerve and oh BOY he needs to be put in his place!!!!!! Good luck, and again, so grateful that your little one is okay, whew, scary! Oh, and I just wanted to add that you should call the cops any time you see the dogs outside, off leash.
