So glad he is ok. Maybe you could buy a portable chain link pen & put it close to your door where you take him out at. Then he could run around and you could feel safer about him not being leashed. If he cannot get thru the chain links. And if he can you acn always put smaller wire around the bottom . Hope there are no more scares,.......Poor baby And you too

Thank you all so much for your responses! I really appreciate each and every one of you and they advice and support you have shown I hardly got any sleep last night because all I wanted to do was watch Parker and make sure he was breathing okay and watch for any signs of internal injury (the vet sent me home with a list of instructions) I am attempting to contact my neighbor of course he isn't answering his phone and thanks to the hurricane I think I am going to have to wait to go over there and speak with him. But I am going to call animal control and the police in order to report it so that it can be documented! I do not want this happening to any one else's puppy or childen..we have two young children who recently moved into the neighborhood and I would hate those dogs to get any where near them Once again I thank each and every one of you for reaching out to me and my fur baby

I was afraid to read the post too. So many times stories like this end with a dead Yorkie. Please, Please, report this. Do what ever you can to keep you and your baby safe. I love dogs, big or little,( I love people too,) but some are dangerous and we have a right to protect ourselves. The owner of the dogs that attacked your dog by law is responsible for his dogs and what they do.

Thank God Parker is ok. Most tiny yorkies do not survive attacks from large dogs.

I think it is time for you to invest in a fence. This was a warning. I have heard many stories and always try to convince people not to rely on electric fences for just this reason. So sorry this happened to you.

I am so glad Parker is ok...if you live in a area where there are close neighbors and no fences you really need to invest in a fenced area for Parker..what works great for me and has for years is I have 4 sets of Sea Breeze x pens..they are 24 x 24 size panels and they are 10 panels..I can take them anyplace we go..they are sturdy and tall enough for my yorkies and my shih tzu's. My patio area and a 12 x 12 ft piece of astro turf are surrounded by them...this way I know my dogs are safe anytime my sliding doors are opened...they are sturdy enough to withstand the New Jersey snows and my husband who ran over one once because the snow was so high...but also work perfect for us now that we are relocated to California...I use 3 ft steel fence stakes to secure them too....Poor little Parker has to be scared to death of the outside now...

This is where the x pens come in handy....he can run free but be safe...and it is not a permanent fence. Oh and I agree you should report this and your neighbor should pay the vet bill...

I am so sorry that this happened to Parker but what a relief that he was not seriously hurt or worse. I hope your neighbor does the right thing and pays the bill. Good luck with the neighbor and best wishes to you and Parker.
