| ![]() I would think that the EC would suggest that you bring the puppy in for an exam. Has blood work been done on him? If not, I would strongly suggest you either get him in to the EC tonight...or get him to the vet first thing in the morning. Blood work would show if he has anemia or any major organ problems due to the toxic effect of the zinc. This could have affected his liver. No one will be able to advise you on the phone. I will keep your puppy in my prayers.

| ![]() Nothing new, except I called 3 different specialists today & they have given me the ball park figure of $1200 for 3-5 days of IV fluids & eventually a blood transfusion... I dont know which way to go, do ONLY fluids & see how she does or go straight into a Blood transfusion.... decisions decisions,,, & the hardest ive ever made. |

| ![]() Guys she is out of 95% of harms way, all we need right now is to get her red blood cells up. She is perfectly normal... eating, peeing, playing with her siblings & getting better, all this is in case her blood count is wayyyyyy too low after 3 normal days on medication. We will be doing the full chem tomorrow. I am in no way keeping her from the help she needs, the vet says as long as there are no MAJOR changes, to take it easy day by day. |
