We dont know what happened, everything was fine all day, her urine even went back to normal, pure yellow. Then this... my heart is still in my throat & Im a heck of an emotional roller coaster, so please continue praying & I will be back with an update tomorrow.. I promise! TY

I would think that the EC would suggest that you bring the puppy in for an exam. Has blood work been done on him? If not, I would strongly suggest you either get him in to the EC tonight...or get him to the vet first thing in the morning. Blood work would show if he has anemia or any major organ problems due to the toxic effect of the zinc. This could have affected his liver. No one will be able to advise you on the phone.

I will keep your puppy in my prayers.

The worse part about all this is we just finished moving & money is VERY tight, so we waited til the morning. She has been great all day, I just got back from the vet & we were told her anemia is very severe, so tomorrow we will be taking her to my regular vet & getting an IV therapy done & doing a full chemistry w/ the organ cbc included.

I will be back tomorrow. Thanks for all the continued support.

Nothing new, except I called 3 different specialists today & they have given me the ball park figure of $1200 for 3-5 days of IV fluids & eventually a blood transfusion... I dont know which way to go, do ONLY fluids & see how she does or go straight into a Blood transfusion.... decisions decisions,,, & the hardest ive ever made.

She is not admitted yet?? If you cannot afford the treatment, please consider surrendering her to a rescue that can. This puppy is going to die...I am surprised she has not already.

Just DO SOMETHING. Sitting around will only make it worse! Take your dog in IMMEDIATELY

yep...this was an emergency days ago...calling for price checks now is not going to do anything for this poor puppy

Guys she is out of 95% of harms way, all we need right now is to get her red blood cells up. She is perfectly normal... eating, peeing, playing with her siblings & getting better, all this is in case her blood count is wayyyyyy too low after 3 normal days on medication. We will be doing the full chem tomorrow. I am in no way keeping her from the help she needs, the vet says as long as there are no MAJOR changes, to take it easy day by day.

Reading those posts does not assure me that this puppy is ok. I hope she is 95% ok as you say; but it is doubtful based on what you have been saying. If she is doing so well, why are you calling around price checking specialists?
