| Glad to hear that Jackson is doing better on this new diet and that the episode has passed. You take such great care of him and he is one lucky dog to have you as his momma. I'm really glad that everyone in your family is cooperating with his new diet and not giving any table food. It really is a problem with these little guys.

| Lol, uh-oh, I actually just read some reviews from this place. Most were talking about running tests not necessary and charging lots of money and most felt the same way I did about the main vet there (not very "warm" or compassionate) but I will say -- I loved the 2nd vet we saw and am overall happy with the service. In my case, I think they were all necessary. Lol, oh well, I guess I'm a little late to be researching reviews. ![]() Jackson is doing very well again today.

| I think this is a common complaint people have- when a test comes back fine- people assume it was unnecessary, that the doctor should have just known that it wasn't that thing. Too many people want to walk in and get the cheapest solution to their problems. I wouldn't really take those kind of reviews into consideration when deciding whether or not to use a vet.

| I agree. The reviewers could be right, but then they may not be right. I have read so many reviews like that, some saying Dr. X was bad because... Well, I know a fair amount of vets and what these people say is rarely true. Actually, more often I see questionable vets being called good because they don't charge much or don't runs tests. So I'd say bedside manner is important if you are going to use a vet long term, but not as important as their knowledge. I think Jackson needed to be hospitalized. I also think they could have kept him longer and would have been right in doing so. So they obviously weren't too money hungry. They needed to do the cPL now that the lipase has been up. They could have went about a few things differently, but I think overall they did fine.

| I left the first vet I had because he came as the free visit/rubber stamper from the petstore and told me my puppy didn't have worms so imagine my surprise when my puppy crapped out roundworms after starting his heartworm meds. I left the second vet who blamed my cooking for my puppy's broken leg. I left the third vet because of poor diagnostic and follow through skills for things beyond the "routine" and I left the fourth vet because the office staff was unbearable to deal with and the vet himself was pushy and disrespectful of my views. I love the vet I'm with now....everything is right but I am committed to no one, and I'll take my business where ever my dogs are best served. If it does not feel right, it probably isn't.

| How is the little guy doing? Hope he continues to feel better, and you too! Stressful for sure. Maxine had 2 bouts of Pancreatitis, and was heading for a 3rd about a month ago. We really worry about her at 14. Have a great day. |

| Thanks, Steve. He is doing fantastic. He was actually feeling pretty grand the day after he got home from the hospital so it was more a matter of keeping him quiet. lol. I'm sorry to hear Maxine has been through it twice, almost 3 times. So scary, isn't it? I actually didn't even realize how often this happened, especially in Yorkies, so am a new total 'newbie' to learning everything. Good thing you caught it in time w/ Maxine the third time.

| Sounds like Jackson has recovered nicely. Such good, attentive, and loving care on your part. Jackson is a lucky man to have a mommy like you

| I logged in tonight and the first thing I read was Jackson is sick and my heart dropped. From the last few posts, it looks like he's feeling better? I'll have to go over the thread to see what was wrong. So glad he's feeling better. |
