Yes, that's a good point. Doctors first test for life threatening illnesses that have some of the same symptoms. Doctors aren't diagnosing something, as much as they are ruling out other things. So when a test comes back negative, we shouldn't think, what a waste of money, we should think how lucky we are that the dog didn't have it. With some things, time is such a critical factor.
