| Moses's brother, Zeus the cat, had the same thing a month or so ago. We were almost to the grid stage, but it cleared up. The vet scraped it a couple of times to stimulate the healing process over again. It worked! Good luck to you and your sweet pup!

| Update Max and I are very thankful for all of the well wishes and support. The ulcer was gone yesterday and the eyelids looked great by evening. We go back Tuesday for re-evaluation. I am still concerned about the spot where the eyelash was under the lid, although the doctor was not. He was leaning toward something else involving the corneal structure. We will see what he says on Tuesday, but no matter what, I have decided to ask for a referral for evaluation by a board certified ophthalmologist.

Yes, we go tomorrow. I'm going to have a bunch of labs run and ask for the name of a good board certified ophthalmologist. Then we will go from there. Max is doing well, but he still has something going on in his eye. The lid is red off and on and the eye is bloodshot whenever he is active outdoors.

| Hope the vet visit goes well tomorrow, and that your vet and the ophthalmologist can shed some light on all of Maximo's eye problems.

| Update Max had his eye re-checked today and the doctor declared it healed. No "Boxer eye" defect in the corneal structure, but there is still something irritating the eyelid. We repeated the stain, and tear tests in both eyes and did magnified examination. No dry eye or other abnormalities. We even discussed mites. The doctor prescribed different eye drops and wants to see Max again in 10 days. If the eyelid is still red, we are going to have to sedate Max for closer examination. I decided to hold off on the specialist until then.

| Dang, I'm sorry. It is most definitely time for a specialist.
