| How is Roxxy doing? Hope all went well and she's doing okay. My Maggie had 4 teeth taken out at her spay. We gave her some pain meds the first nite as she was in a bit of pain that night and seemed to be okay the next day, just quiet. After that she was back to her old self. Give Roxxy big kisses and a gentle hug from us.

| What a day! Roxxy is doing ok and she seems to be a bit better this morning. I can't tell you how bad I felt seeing my girl in pain. The shocker for me when picking her up is: They pulled 10 teeth!!! This was a huge shock; I don't know much about this but that just seems too many. The said that some had adult buds showing and that pulling the rest was the best thing for her since clearly they weren't going to budge but I was just not expecting this. She was prescribed three Rimadyl tablets, each were quartered and she's to take 2x daily if needed. They promised if I felt it wasnt enough that I could come back today and get something else. Everyone should know that I had ordered and recevied the KissE Cone from Mom To Hot Rod and it arrived in the mail Right before I left to pick her up. This cone, I'm sure, made my lil girl so much more comfortable and is cute to boot! Thank you Bo. It was a real pleasure doing business with you, you're the best! Anyway as the night wore on she was mostly quiet and not moving around too much. She usually sleeps with us but I was afraid to let her in bed like this and instead I slept on the floor with her, (my arthritis and scoliosis is not happy about that). She ate just a little and drank some water last night and this morning. She took her meds easily. She already looks a bit better and for the most part is keeping quiet though I suspect that may not last long. Thank you so much for everyone's support, it was invaluable. And, if you know your babies will have sx, I really recommend the KissE. |

| Roxxy seems to be rebounding but last night she developed a swelling between her shoulders which I assume is from the microchip. It was not there initially and just came up last night. It has gone down some this morning, last night it was at least quarter size. Off to the vet we go. |

| Glad to hear Roxxy is recuperating nicely. Hope the shoulder swelling is nothing to worry about. Good idea to have it checked.

| The vet says that the swelling is "normal", that the needle they use for the chip is quite big and that's what probably caused it. He says it will go down and it has somewhat but is still there. It doesn't seem to be bothering her and that was his main concern. Her mouth seems to hurt, she keeps pawing at her head. The vet says her gums are probably still sore;and I hope that's all it is. Shes not pawing at mouth but over the eyes near her ear. He said to continue giving her the pain meds. Other than that, she clearly feels better and it's becoming difficult to keep her calm. She wants to jump around and I was told that the stairs and couch jumping etc. Is a no-no for two weeks. I just want my baby well! |
