Ughh. I can't believe the little guy is still having eye problems. I'm keeping you guys in my prayers! |
Oh darn it! I'm sorry that Max's eye hasn't totally healed yet. Hopefully, he is making a turn now toward a positive healing. Poor little guy :( |
Awe. Poor lil guy. Will continue to pray for fast healing, and to avoid surgery. |

Oh dang it Kristin I'm so sorry for Max and you; just now reading the update. It is good you are seeing some immediate improvement, sounds like you have found the right answer. |
I hope Maximo is doing much better and that his corneal ulcer has healed. I'm praying for a wonderful doctor's report for your beautiful boy tomorrow. Give both of your boys extra kisses from me. |
I am just reading this post. I am so sorry Max is having such trouble with his eye. Bless his heart. It sounds like you are doing the right thing by confining him. This may just do the trick, hopefully. I will keep him in my prayers. |
Sending prayers and huggins for little Maximo. I hope he gets a good report from the vet! |

So sorry to hear the update! Was hoping to hear better news. Fingers crossed for Maximo! |
Oh Kristin, I am so sorry Max is still dealing with this. :( I pray he heals up and doesn't have to have the second surgery. ((hugs)) |
Oh no Kristen, I am just now seeing the update about Maximo's corneal ulcer. I was so hoping and I know you were that the surgery to remove the eyelash would fix everything. We are keeping our fingers and paws crossed that with the confinement Max's ulcer will heal. Bless his heart:( |
Poor widdle Maximo. :( I wish him the best, with or without the second surgery. |
Prayers for Max. If he does need that procedure, I can tell you that I have had good results with it. They are really only under for a very short time. Anesthesia should be no issue at all. |
Update Thank you to all of you for your support, good thoughts, and prayers for Max. We returned from the vet just now and I'm sorry to say that Max will be having the surgery, grid keratotomy, on Thursday. So, after a week of severe restrictions, all Max gained was half a pound of belly fat (he told me he wants a t-shirt that says that). The good news is that the ulcer is very shallow, so the procedure on Max will be minimally invasive. His eye will not have to be sewn shut for protection and he won't have to be on any unusual pain meds. Thank you again for all of the support. It means a lot to me and the Maxman. |
