I'm sorry, Kristen. It's so good that you and your vet are right on top of this, so Max can get all better soon. How much longer will you need to keep him on restricted activity?

Thank you Bonny. I forgot to ask about recovery time. Probably 10-14 days of wearing the collar and not playing fetch or tug-o-war. We can probably start going on low-impact walks sooner, as long as it is not windy or too sunny, and if I keep him on the pavement and prevent him from sticking his face in grass. I took him out for a quick walk early this morning and he was compliant. He was so grateful to get outside for a little bit.

Oops, I missed this! Glad Maximo made it out of surgery OK, and good luck with the recovery period! But, you know, it's required to post conehead pictures after all surgeries! ;) Don't MAKE me ban you!

I will keep Maximo in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure he will be just fine on Thursday... :)

At least you're maintaining your sense of humor :D. That's a good thing for Max too; I'm sure he doesn't want his Mama to worry too much. :)

Kristin, I'm keeping Max in my prayers. Between your Max & my Max I've been very busy. And I agree with Mike...I think conehead recovery photos are a must ;)

I'm so sorry, Kristin. I've been so tied up with work, and I'm sorry I haven't let you know how much I think of you and Max. I really was hoping your sweet boy wouldn't need another surgery, but I'm glad it is minimally invasive. You and both of your boys continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I know they both thrive with your love and all will be well once this is past you.

I'm so sorry that you didn't receive better news today at the vet. You are such a good momma to Max and I can tell how much you love him. Please keep us all posted how he does Thursday............:hug: to you my friend. :)

I am sorry to hear that Max has to have another surgery. I was praying that the eye would come along after the first surgery. Anyways, you are in my thoughts and prayers for a great outcome on Thursday. I will be checking this thread for the update.

Kristin, I am so sorry you didn't get better news today. At least the surgery won't be to invasive. I hope this is the last of this old corneal ulcer and that Maximo heals fast. I know you are all going bonkers having to stay confined. Hugs to all of you and I will be praying for Maximo Thursday for a successful surgery.
