So, we will have coneheads for kids a little while, huh? Maddie will look real strange with her face shaved too. I will be thinking of Max tomorrow and hoping this is the fix he needs. These pesky eye problems are no fun at all!:( |
Sending lots of prayers and hugs for Max |
I am so sorry to hear Max does have to have the surgery. Wow sewing the eye shut for protection!!!! I am so glad he does not need that to be done. Sending prayers and hugs. |

Sending prayers this morning. |
Best News Ever! Guess who is home!! Maximo! No surgery required! The ulcer healed about 98% between Tuesday at 3 pm and this morning at 8 am, when I was supposed to drop him off for surgery. Max's doctor said he has never seen an ulcer this size make such a stunning recovery. I had high hopes yesterday morning when Max woke up and opened the eye wide and didn't squint or blink excessively all day. The ulcer appeared to improve throughout the day, but I wasn't sure if I was being deceived by the tear film creating a mirage. I thought the doctor was going to think I was crazy making one last desperate attempt to get out of surgery. Our vet tech and I arrived at the office at the same time and she reassured me that I was right to request one last eye stain to check the ulcer. Everyone at the office celebrated and Max and I raced home to eat breakfast. He has to go back at the end of next week for a re-check. |
