Home! Not eating much, still breathing somewhat heavy-but home.
We are all exhausted. Lots of meds to give to both my girls.
Will have to figure out a schedule tomorrow. Too tired tonight!

Good Morning All
 
Good morning everyone,

It's just about 6:20 AM and Cassie is sleeping by my side in my bed. The night was uneventful, thank god, with the exception of my paranoia that she was having trouble breathing. I was up all night watching her breathe (LOL). The doctors say my girls were miracle girls, and that they only survived because I brought them in so quickly and did not wait for symptoms. Especially in a breed as tiny as a Yorkie. They say they would not have survived otherwise.
Also, the quick thinking of one of the doctors in the ER to give Cassie a transfusion and also vitiman K for the clotting thing. Right now they think she may have choked her way into a collapsed trachea, somethng she did not have before. It's too bad, because she was the only one of my babies that didn't have a collapsing trachea. Anyway, I have to go check on Muffy. Will keep you updated.

A most important lesson I've learned: When in doubt, don't think about it-GO TO THE VET

Shellie....the vet is right, your girls are miracles~one of God's miracles. You're a wonderful yorkie Mom and as horrible as this has been for you all, hopefully others will learn from your experience.

My prayers will continue for you all, especially sweet little Cassie.

Update:
Cassie is holding steady and Muffy is a great deal perkier, but Cassie only ate a tiny bite or two. Last night I think Muffy ate her dinner, but this morning she is finicky again.
I made them scrambled eggs, their favorite, (they share an egg). I even put a tiny sprinkle of shredded cheese in there for flavor, but they pretty much turned their heads away. So of course I am worried. They are not even taking their pure bites freeze dried chicken treats. Or I should say, Cassie is not aking it, and she LOVES them usually. So glad Cassie's home... I agree with ADB, and also with you to call the vets... they've come this far, and you want to see them progressing... maybe a bland diet with some chicken broth but ask the vets... keeping you all in my prayers still... I am happy, but I will still have concerns until they are both 100% and done their meds, so I'll be praying for you all till then at least!
