I am so glad Muffin is safe at home and soon Cassie will be as well. I have been looking at her picture and breathing in and out while picturing a golden light surrounding her healing her. I truly believe there is major prayer power shining down on Cassie because of all the wonderful members of YT. They have helped many a dog and human! Best wishes to you and I am looking forward to hearing that you are bringing home Cassie soon. Bless the vets and techs looking out for Cassie and Muffin. |

So very happy to hear the great great news! Way to go Cassie. So much light and love surrounds you and is here to lead you home. |
UPDATE I am holding Muffin in my arms. Went to see Cassie today and got to hold her. She did not want to go back in the oxygen cage and was very excited to see me. As soon as I picked her up though she calmed down. She is still struggling with breathing room air, but they say her tolerance is some what improved. PLease keep those prayers coming. God is good! |
This is really wonderful news! So happy Muffin is home:) And especially now that Cassie has normal liver function ! Hopefully soon, she will be able to come home soon. Sounds like she is getting stronger too. I also came back straight to this thread, and went backwards , to see how your babies are doing. I think Cassie will be well enough soon to come home . |
Great news! {{{hugs}}} |
So glad that things are going so well. :) Will continue prayers for Cassie to come home soon! |

YAAAAAYYYY!!! I love it when things like this happen. Good girl Cassie, you did an awesome job!! Continuing prayers until she is home with you. :p |
I am so happy for you. I was thinking about Casie all day. I know she will be fine. |
Fantastic news! You will have both your girls home together before you know it. |
That's such great news. Continuing to pray Cassie is home with you soon. |
Update: No change in Cassie, so far Muffin is kind of subdued but can be playful at times. She is not really eating well, which is very unusual for her. I am a tiny bit worried. She hasn't eaten her food, and took only a few licks of baby food chicken. Doesn't even want cream cheese. I don't know if she just misses Cassie, is being finicky, or just recovering from a traumatic experience at the ER, or if there is really something wrong or to be concerned about. Will continue to monitor. Blessings to all |

:getwell: So glad to see some improvement! |
Update: Muffin continues to be very finicky about eating. She ate a little but not that much. Cassie's report is upsetting to me. They say that her xray's are not improved and maybe even a little worse. Now they are saying they do not believe she has aspiration pneumonia, but that she choked on her vomit and injured her lungs. They are giving her lasix and they say they will continue the ABX just in case it is helping her. They say if it were aspiration pneumonia she would be on room air already. It doesn't take that long to heal. They say she is acting a little better, but the xrays say she still has problems. Please continue to pray for my precious baby...Love, Shellie |

Wow, I just found your thread now and read through all 20 pages and I am sending all the positive vibes and strength to you and your little Cassie girl! I had my baby in ICU before too and I know you feel helpless but I think that just visiting Cassie is important. Just being able to smell you and hear you and feel you is what she lives for. I used to go and hold my little Brooke for hours a day, even though she was connected to a bunch of tubes to feed her. I wish you nothing but the best, my Brooke is doing great now and that is what I wish for your Cassie, Hugs from Brooke & I |
I'm happy you have Muffin at home with you. It will probably take time for her to return to a normal eating routine. She has been through a lot. I am sending prayers for Cassie that she will turn that corner and suddenly be better. Sending hugs for you, too. That's a lot of worry to carry and I'm glad you've been able to share it here with us. |
Muffin's appetite will return soon. I'm praying for both Cassie and Muffin and you too! You are a great Mom to your babies. You stay well and be strong. Cassie will be better and home with you and Muffin. Hugs to all! |
Prayers still going out for both girl's. Muffin I hope will start eating soon. She is probably just upset with all that has gone on. |
I am sure Muffin misses her little sister as well. She'll settle down and Cassie will be home before you know it. Still sending good thoughts and prayers. |
Muffin and Cassie will continue to be in my prayers until they are both completely healed. I'll go to sleep tonight with Cassie's sweet face pictured in my mind and hope to wake hearing she is showing significant improvement. Hugs to you Shellie! |
Hoping Cassie just needs a little more time to heal, she's been through so much lately. So glad Muffin is home... did the vet put her on a bland diet till she gets her appetite back? |
Hello all angels, Returned from visit with my baby Cassie. She seemed really excited and happy to see me. The Vet on duty states her spirits are higher and her interest in her surroundings has increased, and this is good news. She is still on oxygen, and it may be a while before they can wean her from it. My Vet had me bring in Rescue Remedy and other homeopathic tinctures to supplement. She needs our continued prayers. Love, Shellie PS-Muffies ate a tiny bit of white rice with low sodium chicken broth. She took her liver support meds okay today in a tiny round ball of cream cheese, no struggle this evening. I am grateful. :-) |
It does sound as though both girls are improving. I'll surely keep both Muffin and Cassie in my prayers. |
Continuing all prayers for swift and complete recoveries! (((((((vibes)))))))))))) You know, with your reports that Cassie is improving, I see Muffin taking strides forward too, so she may have been reacting to your stress as well as missing her sister. I know my Jenna will follow me through all my many moods, and once I brighten up, she does too. :) I will keep her in my thoughts and heart and you and Cassie as well that all is right with the world very soon. :) Bless you all! You have come down a long road and we hope it is a much happier one very soon! |
