| ![]() Hope Griffin is doing better and home soon. I know how scary it is for one of your babies to be so ill. Will keep him in our prayers.

| ![]() Lucy is a picky eater as well. The one SURE way to go her to eat is if Ringo finishes his food first and starts sneaking over toward her bowl. She will rush over; give him the stink-eye and promptly finish ALL her food. I sure hope it's nothing more serious. Fingers still crossed.

| ![]() well....the wee man is home now.... he had the pre done first which was negative and the bat....was low....on the cusp as the vet said. he remained in hospital for two days ...on fluids, and dextrose, along with lactulose four times a day and low protein diet. the difference in this little guy is amazing.... even though he is still not a great eater.... he doesn't "deep sleep" now....is more active, alert, and not having any seizures. I am waiting for vet to call with respects to other things I need to introduce into his diet. I have to say it sure is one hellva lot of work, however he is so worth it. the next few days should tell the tail. He is having loose stool......which is understandable with drugs and new food.... hopefully I can find out from vet what to give him and how much. I am feeling optimistic.....and relieved. *huge smile |

| ![]() I am glad to hear that he is feeling better. I am sorry that the bat was low but it is easier to deal with a known problem that an unknown one. Best wishes for Griffin's continued improvement!

| ![]() Glad to hear you little guy is doing better. Gizmo is a pick eater as well, and I thought there was something wrong, rushed him to the vet, and what not. But what we discovered is that he was holding out for treats and maybe some left overs from mom and dad. Also, he is teething. However, he went after my Cairn's food, which is Innova, so I bought him the puppy version and he seems to love it. It seems to be trial and error sometimes to get their fur babies to eat. Good luck!

| ![]() Glad things are improving, and hope you can find a way to get him to eat the proper food. Nutrical can be misused, can lessen their appetite and cause rebound hypoglycemia, and should be balanced with protein when it is used. Have you tried giving him finely diced boiled chicken breast? I've never met a dog that would refuse that. This old thread is very educational:http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ly-dosage.html FYI, last I heard the protocol for fasting before bile acid testing was changed, and fasting is not necessary. Again I reference a thread discussing it: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...-required.html By the way, thank you YorkieTalk members who have taught me almost everything I know about Yorkies health, and who are always there to help. ![]()

| ![]() So glad to hear that he's doing better! Since his BAT was low ~ are they ruling out liver shunt/MVD? Sounds like liver if the lactulose and low protein diet are helping.

| ![]() hey Buster Brown.....well.....he is better, however I've been having to syringe feed him...other than that you'd never know he had a thing wrong.... I am thinking if I can get a little weight on him things will improve more. He just had a bath, and is sleeping like a little prince .... thank you so much for asking about him.... hugs A |

| ![]() I am glad he is doing well. Are you using the syringe because he is being finicky about eating? When Buster is being finicky I crumble some of his favorite treat over his food. I am glad your sweet Prince is doing well. They are so adorable when they sleep you just want to kiss them, heck I want to kiss poor Buster all the time.
