| ![]() My first thought was if one vet didn't know, why not seek a second opinion? What generic drug was she given? What was the drug for? |

In any case, if what she's on isn't helping, then she needs to be seen again. If she doesn't have confidence in the first vet, then she needs to find another one right away to prevent potentially painful and expensive complications.

| ![]() Reading her posts, I am thinking that by generic she meant a broad spectrum antibiotic, which would be the first course of action for a suspected UTI. In any case, if what she's on isn't helping, then she needs to be seen again. If she doesn't have confidence in the first vet, then she needs to find another one right away to prevent potentially painful and expensive complications.[/QUOTE] I agree with you ![]() ![]() |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | ![]() LOL, you quoted me before I could finish editing my post. I took out the part about the UTI because although this is what her symptoms suggest might be going on, it would be inappropriate of me to say for sure that is what happened.

| ![]() As a pet lover and a human all around who chooses NOT to snipe and judge people for exploring options online~ We are a yorkie community and this should be a place where anyone with a love for this breed(or any other) can come to ask for some advise without all this sarcasm. Now someone has asked for our advise without neededing to share every detail or be torn at. So lets put on our best and look for some help. Again....darlin. maybe it's just staining like all the other details some sweet girls shared. I know how hard and expensive vet bills can be and the alternative when you dont have funds is the next best thing. the internet and research. So, I think I liked the one persons advise that you seek getting some insurance before you get a firm diagnoisis and itf that is not in your cards then go to the REVIVAL ANIMAL gals and techs for some help. I love that company personally.....hold on a min and I'll find you a number.....ok got it. 1-800-786-4751...I love these sweethearts who go the extra mile , are down to earth and help with finding you a solution.. love em love em love em. So NO JUDGMENT and good luck finding help with your baby and I personally thank you for letting me try and help a fellow yorkie lover. |

The day I tell people how to treat their pups and avoid going to the vet is the day I hope someone takes my computer away from me. The op snapped at all of us who suggested she take her pup to a vet....oh nothing wrong with her snapping, but you question my sarcasm? Seems to me that the majority suggested the reasonable thing to do and one person only wanted to appease. To each his own...she asked for advice and I believe the best advice she got was exactly what the majority gave her. She doesn't like it? So what? The dog probably does not like having whatever is wrong with it either. As for suggesting insurance fraud....well let's just say I avoided that post, but people thinking like that is exactly what is wrong with our country's insurance problems! People need to be RESPONSIBLE and that is the bottom line. If you have children, make sure you can afford to raise them. Same goes for pets...don't have them if you cannot afford the care. Pretty simple in my way of thinking.
