| Both of our yorkies have had something similar to that. What Chewie and Zoee had was coccidia though. After going to the vet, they gave them antibiotics. Chewie got better faster than Zoee. Zoee had a worse case and one type of antibiotics didn't work. So they had to switch her to another type of antibiotics. Hope Storm gets better soon! |

| Well it has been a few days after the Vet visit and Storm is back to having Diarrhea but this time nothing is in it. I only saw the worms the 1st night now he just has Diarrhea and his last poop was clear with a little blood in it. He hasn't eaten and hardly had anything to drink today. I'm calling the vet and looking for an Emergency Vet... Need to find something before I have to go to work in a few hours. |

| To me it sounds like round worm. Tapeworms look like little pieces of rice where round worms are long. which does it look like? Actually round is easier to rid.

| This is what I was also thinking after the OP said that she saw the worms in the stool after taking the dewormer as Tapeworm usually don't show up in the stool after deworming. |

| OP, do you know if the vet checked for coccidia ? & hows your baby doing today ? Also if he's not eating well he could become hypoglycemic so maybe you should give him a bit of nutri-cal a couple of times a day& some pedialyte probably wouldn't hurt either as he's having runny poos. You should probably talk with your vet about this. I hope he starts feeling better soon. Keeping you & your little guy in my Prayers. |

| The best "non poison" flea prevention I've ever used is table salt. Scatter it dry into carpets and let it sit overnight. Then vaccum it away. It does not stain or smell. I rented a house a few years ago that had fleas BAD. You could feel them run across your feet while watching TV. I sprinkled salt and in 2-3 days they were gone. I think the salt dries their little bodies. I never use poison of any kind in my home because of my furbabies. Hope this helps. Deni

| Hmmm, the 2nd site here (Vetinfo) says you can also use baking soda in your carpet. I have been using this for Years as recommended by a vet I used in another state but I have had people here tell me that it is toxic to pets. |
