"GULP" Wow. Thank you everyone for all the replies and prayers and thoughts for Basil. To clearify the situation. I have talked to the vet, we will not do the spay at the same time. Yes the lactalouse is adjustable, I go to the vet thursday to get my specialist referal. My faince is co signing for me to get a credit card. Care credit has a 29.9% interest rate. I have looked into SOOOOO many different things. That is why I haven't been on here posting updates. No Basil isn't in pain when she takes the lactalose. Yes that video was specialy taken just for the vet to see. The pocket was caused from excessive feces build up in her large intestine. I am going to take pictures of the X Rays thurday when i bring them back to the vet. They have the proper lighting to let me do that with my camera. You all had so many questions, and everything. i am trying to keep up with all the questions. So if I missed something please let me know again. feel free to private message me. i will deffinitly keep each and everyone of you informed. thank you again for all of your support. Basil is my lil baby and I love that little girl like she was a child. I will reach to the stars to help her. No matter what.

You could not ask for a better place to ask for support and prayers. Your "Gulp" speaks volumes - I'm sure being a newer member you didn't realize how much the people on this forum love and want to protect yorkies. We are all behind your little Basil and pulling for you both! Keep us posted and we would love to see photos when she is feeling better!

i am trying to reach out to this person a/s/a/p. they are the key to my Basil. The video was not able to be shown, but the comments the people and she posted are all the same i got. I really hope she is still on here.

I have never paid that much interest with Care Credit! Each vet that accepts it can set their rates. Many of them are interest free for a year.

yes i just did. i know this is set up to my email so i am hoping it is set up to her email.

it doesn't matter about care credit i will be getting a credit card, same thing. lower int. rate. so it isn't going to be an issue.

We are treating her with luctoluse. 1cc adjustable once a day. high fiber diet, and i am suringing water down her throat to make sure she stays hydrated. 15 X 3 cc = 1/4 cup of water. also enemas with warm soapy water 2 times a day as needed. but is used to be 4 times a day. we haven't done those lately becuae she seems to be in a lot of pain when we try to do it now. So far no other treatments. i am going to get my specialist referal thursday also. so so sorry to here about your pixie. how did she get hypoglycemia? any signs to watch for?

Pixie was very small and a very picky eater and it was a struggle every day to get food down her. She had had couple of episodes of hypoglycemia but with a little nutri-cal she would bounce right back. She had been playing with her litter mates and acting just fine and about an hour later I checked on her and she was very lifeless, I pick her up and gave her Nutri-cal and she passed in my arms. It was devastating.

Is your puppy eating well? When they get hypoglycemic their gums turn white and they act very listless. If your girl is eating well hopefully you won't have to deal with that. I hope the vets can do something for her.

When my scampi was 14 he developed a pocket right by his hmm how should i say this??? butt hole:rolleyes: He would strain to go to a poo but it would go in to the pocket instead of out the hole so once or twice a day i would put gloves on and put a finger up his butt and hook his poo out i found this much better for him then all the meds to soften his poo.
If your dogs pocket is near the butt hole has your vet not suggested you help the dog to go a poo by removing it your self? yes its gross but it works. :D

The vet has done that, the pocket has shrunk since the last xray. it is near her exit. I came home from work a few minutes ago, and I went to take her out to go the bathroom, and oh man. I am trying not to cry right now, but I have seen enough. It is the worse so far. She literally wouldn't stop screaching and chattering, and a little drop came out. I called the vet and they are putting together all her paper work to send me to the specialist.
