| i am glad that sophie is doing a little better. after nika's first case of pancreatitis it took a couple weeks to get her to eat and act normal again. we made her boiled skinless boneless chicken and she wouldnt even eat that at first. we had to give her water from a dropper as she wouldn't drink on her own either for a week or so. she was very lethargic. strict diet is very very important. it can come back and be worse, so make sure that no one ever gives her table scraps and watch what she's getting in to outside in the yard. sounds like you're doing everything right and taking the best care ofher possible. i'm glad you found yorkie talk and shared your story. we are so lucky to have such a great community here to get advice and help! so welcome! will keep you & sophie in our thoughts and prayers!

I am so glad you found yt--- I too find confort in the caring group of people on this site. I hate to ask.. but are BOTH parents in hospice? That must be extra hard on you and I am sending prayers to help you have what it takes to do your best. I lost my mother several years past and it was one of the hardest things I have ever lived throught, but I did and life did go on and I have had many days of joy that I would have missed if I had not taken the baby steps to go on. I am glad your puppy is doing better... prays for her also Take Care Shinja

| As I read this post I relived my heartache and sheer terror of maybe losing Sophie. After a full recovery I put both my yorkie kids on Natural Balance, as my male Was very sick soon after. I read that it's not uncommon for these precious babies to have digestion difficulties, hence the duck and potatoe food by natural balance. What a remarkable change!!!!!! Duck is highly digestible and the gobble it up any time it's put down. As they love even smaller pieces I put it through the processor very quickly ,just a couple pulses ! I highly recommend this food..... Make sure it's the duck, I buy mine at global pet foods along with duck tender treats( they love it so much I call it doggie crack) lol 100% holistic . Thought I'd share since all of the members here are so very caring and kind!!!! abbie506 |
