Yorkie Yakker | Pink EYE!!! HELP!! So over the past couple days my little baby's eye has been having discharge around it. Over the last couple days it has got way worse. He doesn't fully open up his right eye and this morning there was TONS of discharge around it. The discharge was very gunky just like as if we had pink eye. I opened his eye to look and its all red. Does this mean he has pink eye??? I called the vet and they suggest he should come in but I am a single mom (my baby is my dog) and I work the hours they are open and my first available day is Monday. Do you think he will be ok until then? Or should I ask my boss if I can take a long lunch to take him??? Any suggestions on what I should do to ease his pain until Monday? I've just been trying to keep that eye as clean as possible and make sure there is no gunk around it. HELPPPP!!! |

| I would ask for the long lunch and get him to the vet. I don't know if it would cause permenant eye damage, but I wouldn't take the chance. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Ok.. You need to take him in TODAY.. Im sorry but I'm an Optician and an eye is an eye.. human or animal... If it is pink eye and you let it go he could do some REALLY BAD damage to his eye... This is your baby and your the only one he can count on , don't make him wait till Monday When you see it getting crusted and closed take a warm wash cloth to wipe it... Then I would throw out the cloth or bleach it... Good Luck .. PLEASE keep us posted

| I would get him to Vet ASAP. I wouldn't wait, the eyes are nothing to play with.

| I would definitely take him to the vet today! Poor little guy. Eye infections can hurt and could jeopardize his eyesight. I would take a long lunch hour and get him to the vet.

| Eye infections require immediate treatment to prevent them from getting worse and possibly causing damage to eyesight. My Chloe had conjunctivitis last year- I took her in the second I saw a drop of discharge- she was still on meds for 14 days and then the infection came back a few days later and she needed to be put back on meds for 10 more days. Eyes are something I do NOT fool around with or wait and see.

| Please take your pup to the vet ASAP! He could end up losing his vision if this is an ulcer.
