Please do natt hesitate in taking your baby to the vet, the eyes are not to be messed with! hope he is feeling better soon.

I am glad you are taking him in. Taycie has had 2 boughts of pink eye and doesn't get better without a prescription. I am like everyone else.. eyes I don't mess around with. They also may put a stain in the eye to see if there could be a scratch or an ulcer. Once you have meds... It clears up rather quickly! Good luck

Please let us know how he does at the vet. I had pinkeye many years ago and I still remember how painful it was - I can't imagine that it would be any less painful for a dog.

My belief is that if you wonder if your dog should see a vet - you should just go. I took a vacation day yesterday to take Tallulah to her vet. Using your time off from work is just one of the prices you pay when you have a pet -- and I have to say it's totally worth it.

Glad you're taking him today! Tristan had pink eye about a week ago and I took him in. The vet said it was pretty bad and very painful for him. He gave me ointment that soothes on-contact. Tristan wasn't happy about going but he was happy when we left.

Bump simply means, I have no answer for you but I wanted to bring your thread up to the top of the list so it gets more attention. I had no experience with this, nor do I know the severity, but I was sure someone else would know. Sorry you took offense to that.

LOL. I had to explain to my dh what "bump" meant when he saw this on a hunting forum he was on. He was totally confused why so many threads had "bump" in them.

OP, hope your DJ found some relief.

Pink eye is very painful so I am hoping you took everyone's advice and took your DJ to the vet. Please let us know how he is doing.

So I took him yesterday on my lunch and he has a eye infection. They gave me this stuff to put in his eye every 8 hrs. He seemes already all better. Thanks guys
