Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMG I'm so sorry - My son just lost his very special darling little weiner dog Mikey at 6 years old to this last June - we were devestated....and we still miss him dearly. I lost our 12 year old Cocker Lady to Renal Failure 2 years ago also and I can tell you it's very hard to deal with this illness - we just feel so helpless. I am so sorry - If you catch in early I think there is a chance of treatment - but it depends on the severity of this disease....I'm very very sorry to hear this....but was very happy to hear he is NOT having Kidney Failure.... it sounds like your baby has a chance ? |

| I had a little dog with diabetes. It was discovered on a routine visit to the vet... I had four pets at the time - and had noticed that I was filling the water dish more often, but really hadn't thought much about it. My little dog wasn't sick at all and no symptoms whatsoever (other than drinking more water and peeing more often). She had to have two insulin shots a day for several years - and did just great. She stayed as healthy, happy, and playful as ever. When I had to put her to sleep - it was because of something totally unrelated to her diabetes. My fear with your little guy - is that his symptoms and the way he feels make me think that his diabetes may be much more out of control than my dog's was when it was discovered. And for this reason, if it is diabetes, he needs to be seen immediately. Out-of-control diabetes is a very serious condition. I can't stress how serious this is.......... without saying that he quickly die -quickly and suddenly- from this. I'm sorry. Let us know what you find out. Carol Jean |

| My little girl just died of Cushing's recently (at 12). I still have over 200 pills of Anipryl (Selegiline) 5 mg. tablets (which can be broken up for smaller doses) with an expiration date of 9/30/06. If your vet prescribes this drug, let me know and I will be happy to mail it to you. |
