| Bonny, I am so sorry to hear Alexander has passed. I know how hard this must be for you, and I know there isn't anything I can say to ease your heartache. Please know that thanks to Alexander and you, many of us have gotten some good advice and ideas for caring for our senior babies. I know he will continue to help many yorkies to come and other dogs as well. My seniors are Italian Greyhounds and I really appreciate the sharing of ideas and advice that Alexander's need generated. My condolences.

| Dearest Bonnie What can I say that hasnt been said already by so many of your friends. I reach out to your heart and try to lighten the sadness just a little bit. What a wonderful life you provided Alexander from the beginning of enjoying, his puppy kisses, the sweet enduring scent of his hair close to your nose, the licks of kisses back to you. Learning from each other and enjoying the Love you have for him and received from him each day. Your heart is breaking I know it so well. Grieve my friend give yourself time. My heart is breaking with you.

| My male Yorkie Sassy, has dementia and has forgotten to tell you when he has to go potty. I just put depends on him and it works fine. He stays dry all night however, which is strange. Have been doing this for a few months now. I buy a male wrap I think it is called at Petsmart and put the depend inside of that. Seems to work great. |

| Hanna is 13 1/2 and beginning to show signs Quote:
I turned back to see Hanna standing there not eating her cookie with her head hung low. I talked to her a minute and she just wouldn't lift her head. My husband said what is on the floor and I checked it out and sure enough she had stood right there and peed a river. And yes she was ashamed. She is 13 1/2 yrs old and beginning to show signs of age, hearing and seeing is going. She completely ignores some of my commands and sleeps most of the day. When she is asleep she sleeps so deeply she doesn't hear me even when I am standing next to her. I have to touch her and than she will shoot out of sleep like she was shot from a cannon. So I am very careful not to wake her by touch. She has a difficult time jumping into her favorite chair and falls backwards a lot of times in her attempts. I bought her a ramp but she is terrified of it and refuses to use it. I have tried everything to teach her but none works. I had a Shih Tzu for 12 years and she had dementia in the end also. So I am watching Hanna close. Today we go to the vet for a severe allergy outbreak. She had cancer about 5 years ago and I see a bump I don't like so will get that checked also. I can understand the heartbreak of losing a furbaby and think I will never go thru this again. But than I can't imagine my life without a furbaby either. | |

I've never fed Hills, but if there was a reason I had to - I'm sure I'd consider it. There are dogs here who do wonderfully on it.

Nena started to eat (which she didn't before) and Rufus loves it. I've never had any problem with it. It may depend on the dog..
