| Why is Lucy not eating?? So we've been in our new house over two weeks - just got the fence up this week-end; all has been well. Dogs are adjusting or seem to be. However, starting yesterday, Lucy wouldn't eat her food. She has been eating her morning NB Vegetarian just fine with carrots on it. I ran out of carrots so put a little plain yogurt on there - she licked off the yogurt and that was it. She barely touched her dinner last night and had two little throw-ups. Running and playing fine and drinking. This morning, I put peas and carrots on her NB Vegetarian and she still wouldn't eat it. Tonight, she would not eat her Wellness and chicken. She would eat treats and would have loved to have some of Ringo's beef. I feel bad that sometimes I give him beef - but he does well on it and she, of course, does not. I'm wondering if that bag of NB Vegetarian got rancid or something (it was on sale)?? Or does she have alittle tummy bug? Or did that yogurt upset her stomach yesterday morning?? Of course, we don't even have a vet yet OR a phone book, but I've a feeling we could be finding one soon. Oh, my Lucy.

| Hmmm. I just put her food in Ringo's bowl (that usually helps) and she licked off all the chicken and left the dry food. Let's see if she keeps it down.

| Sorry to hear about Lucy - she's your MVD dog, right? I'd try to just give her bland food. Daisy does great on chick pea and sweet potato. If you use canned chick pea, rinse very well. You could try that as a sub for the NB vegetarian for a few days and see how she does. If she eats and does well and feel better, you'll have your answer as to the food.

| Oh my! I hope whatever it is goes away quickly! Maybe the weather? Does the NB smell off or changed color? Sometimes dry food can get tiny bugs in it (mites?) so if you see alot of crumbling or misshapen pieces it may be that. I wouldn't think the yogurt would do it unless she can't tolerate dairy... None of mine ate their breakfast yesterday. I found out that Tink will eat better if I put her and her food in a chair. Don't ask... she was in my chair and didn't get down to eat so I showed her the bowl to let her sniff it and it looked like she might eat it so I left it in the chair with her. She ate great! IDK! Maybe too much excitement running in the newly fenced yard? Ever tried Parmesan cheese with her?

She is my MVD dog and I'm going to lay off the NB Vegetarian tomorrow - I sniffed it and it smelled ok but somethings going on. I'll try something bland and see how it goes. No treats tonight either. Going to go on a small walk and see how she does. And how everything . . well, comes out. Little Miss Lucy is more trouble than a newborn baby! And just as sweet!
