Sorry to hear about Lucy - she's your MVD dog, right? I'd try to just give her bland food. Daisy does great on chick pea and sweet potato. If you use canned chick pea, rinse very well. You could try that as a sub for the NB vegetarian for a few days and see how she does. If she eats and does well and feel better, you'll have your answer as to the food.
