| I have been through a similar situation with my little girl, Molly. She is 22 months old. Over the past year she has had at least three severe episodes of vomiting and diarrhea that lasted over a week each time. Each time she was treated with IV fluids and medication. All the blood work, etc. came back OK. We eventually took her to the University of Tennessee Vet Teaching Hospital. She was tested for a lot of different things including Addison's disease - which all came back negative. Because right now the vet thinks her problems are dietary related, Molly is currently on a very strict diet. All she eats is Hills Prescription d/d Potato and Salmon. I do give her pieces of carrot for treats but that is the ONLY food she can have. She has been on this strict diet for about 3 1/2 months and had had no episodes of sickness. If she does continue to get sick UT wants to do a GI tract biopsy. I want to avoid that procedure if possible so we stick to the diet. Maybe diet will help! It did for us.
