| Update Miko went for his check-up today. Results from the chemistry panel show that Miko's protein, cholesterol and calcium levels plus all other readings are normal, that's the good news. However, his urinalysis does show protein loss and it had white blood cells, they are doing a culture on his urine to learn more. The results from his GI tract panel will take a few days....more waiting. :-/ |

| Update Miko's lab work has come in and all levels are normal and there was no growth in his urine culture, so there is no need to have the GI tract biopsy performed. He will go back in 4 weeks to have another chemistry panel completed to check his levels again. He is doing fine at home, back to his old self, I will keep him on the diet he's on right now, which is Purina EN, no treats, he will continue to take the Forti Flora (probiotic) and Tylosin (antibiotic) until he is checked again. I have attached his chemistry panel results from both visits, when he was admitted into ICU and his recheck last week, for those of you that are interested in looking at his results. Pic 1 & 2 - 08/26/10-08/28/10 stay in ICU Pic 3 & 4 - 09/08/10 recheck |
