Okay, just a quick update - we went to the vet this morning just to see if Koda was well enough to travel home (since his return flight was scheduled for today at noon). The vet had told us yesterday that it would be Friday before he could leave. Anyway, we got there when she opened this morning and Koda was bouncing around acting a million times bettter! Vet said she fed him a little last night and he held it all down and he was doing well enough to head home!!! Whew, so there's another $300 that didn't have to be spent. So, I took Koda and his human to the airport and away they went! They will be at LAX at around 6 pm.

Anyway, sigh of relief, it is all over!

Other than getting the surgery paid for, the biggest hurdles are over and Koda is doing great!

Wow, what a great thing you have done! You are amazing, and I am sure they are so thankful to you. I am glad that sweet little Koda will be okay!!

What a great ending to a scary story! I'm so glad you were able to help Koda. This is why I have a huge credit card in case of emergencies. I don't care how much it would cost, I would get my babies the care they need.

Wow! I didn't know you have a rescue! You are amazing! You saved Koda's life and allowed him to be back with his family! Bless your heart! What a beautiful and heartwarming story!

Well, "rescue" in the very loosest of terms... We take in surrenders when the opportunity presents itself and help in medical situations when we are contacted (I mean, it's just me and my family and the resources we have). So, when someone finds me, they have really been looking hard for help and are usually quite desperate.

In this situation, I really wasn't in the financial situation to be of much help, but what I could do ended up being enough to save Koda's life.
