I know. This whole situation is beyond crazy. From day 1 he's fine, to day 3 he's seizing and now he's getting a brain MRI. I can barely wrap my thoughts around it. It's almost 3 hours since his MRI and I feel my heart puttering.

That is good news. But also frustrating cause you still don't have any answers. Hopefully it will just go away with time.

I personally thought they were getting more frequent, but my partner disagreed. The hospital has seen him to focal seizures but they thought perhaps not as often as me because it's a new place, he's active and not relaxed.

I ONLY saw Max do this when he was calm and still. He's probably not calm and still there.

Did they say anything about it possibly being caused by the Sentinel or is there a way they can test for that?

It was clearly noted by me, my local vet and the referral paperwork that I strongly suspect Sentinel. They are saying nothing at this point. My vet says Sentinel is out of the dog's body in 4 days. He's still having focal seizures and today is 8 days after I gave it to him.

How can the Sentinel be out of his body in 4 days if you are only supposed to give it once a month for complete coverage?? I would think it is still in his system. Hoping for good results.

Someone mentioned a few pages back that Sentinel kills the life cycle and then leaves the dog's body. I don't really know, but the specialists will look into it I'm sure.

The drug itself processed days ago. However, that doesn't rule out long-term damage from it. Only a vet can make that call. It is a good sign that it didn't severely hurt his liver though since his enzymes and bile acids are within normal limits.

I'm so glad they got him in quickly. He is in good hands.

Did they say how long before you'd get these results?

I wouldn't be surprised if it takes 24 hours...sooner would be much nicer though.
