I can only speak to what I have seen first-hand as a courier. Although you don't know me at all, I care deeply about these babies that I carry around and during the time they are with me, they are given just as much love as if they were going to be mine. And most importantly, I am a truthful person.

Most important here is that Max is getting the love and care he deserves and breeder has stepped up to the plate.

I am SO sorry you have even more crap to deal with. I hope whoever is being so dang childish has a huge karma bus headed towards them. (And if your breeder is reading and inferring for herself then I hope she starts to see things in a different light)

From what I have seen the breeder has not stepped up to anything....just giving half the purchase price...and then still badgering Karen because she is posting online? Come on. Clearly Karen needs support and I don't see that she has gotten that from anyone except the YT members.

But, I am not here to debate this.

Max will get the care he needs, not because of his breeder, but because of the person who purchased him. Time will tell what is wrong...but beside all of that, just the things this woman said to her is not in keeping with reputable in my book.

She sounds more like she is concerned with her livelihood imho. From the beginning, telling you to euthanize him if he had LS. What the heck. Not like it could not be fixed...and she knows that. So...clearly this is about money.

The OP has not blamed the breeder, but many others have and of course she is going to get defensive, since there is no proof that it is her fault..

I know that you mean well, But, The best thing that can be done for the OP is to be supportive and not bash the breeder. Just wait for the test results.

There is nothing here that indicatres that there is anything for the breeder to step up to.

The OP is probably regretting ever having said anything about her conversation with the breeder.

People frequently say things when they are upset that they don't really mean. And when people are upset, they frequently hear things in a different way than what they were meant. perhaps it was not a statement but more of a question. We were not there, we do not know.

Let he, who is without sin, cast the first stone.

We've all made mistakes and have all said things that we later regretted.

Let's keep in mind that it COULD be something that happened while in my care. MAYBE it's the Sentinel. MAYBE he played too hard. MAYBE LS developed on Tuesday and no signs of his episodes ever happened in the breeder's care. It's too early to really know anything at this point. If indeed it is some kind health issue that may be hereditary I will then question if she can help me financially.

Let's deal with the breeder situation later.

Hopefully he will be fine and there will be nothing to deal with.

If she suggested Karen euthanize Max she is not reputable in my book PERIOD

But for you to suggest it might be MY fault if the breeder does not do the right thing is ludicrous.

I hope so too. I'm going to talk to my vet tomorrow in detail about the BAT results, after he speaks with the lab. I'm going to then ask for a referral to LSU Hospital to see a neurologist. I think that sounds like the most logical next steps.

Thanks, I appreciate it. It's hard enough managing a puppy without having the medical issues. I'm tired!
