| Lethargic and Wobbly Our baby girl Gizzy is at the emergency vet right now (for an overnight stay and blood tests) because we came home and she was lethargic (usually jumps all over the place, following us around and giving us kisses but she didnt' move from the chair) and when we set her on the floor to see how she walked she was all wobbly. My husband and I are SO freaked out! There were 2 other dogs at home with her all day (and they are fine) with my mom and infant son. she did swipe his bottle at one point and probably got some formula out. but we can find no signs of her getting into anything. and my mom didn't notice anything until we got home (she often sleeps and plays off and on all day so that is no surprise) does anybody have any ideas? We just hope and pray she will be okay! She is 3.5 pounds and 8 months old. and usually a very good eater. (mom doesn't remember how well she ate or drank today) |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hope she is ok and just a little bug. If she didn't eat much it could be from that. Maybe have your Mom make sure she eats while your gone.

| I sure hope your little Gizzy recovers quickly. If she didn't eat today, it could be hypoglycemia, as Beamers Mom suggested. I will say a prayer for your precious baby. I hope to see a good update tomorrow!

| thank you SO much everybody! Gizzy is home and doing better. Some of her levels were wierd and the vet wants to check them again later this week. They said she was probably a little dehydrated but that she had swallowed/eaten some kind of a string! smaller than a shoelace and bigger than dentil floss. They thought at first it was a tampon string but we told them that just wasnt' possible (I had a baby 3 months ago and havent had those in the house for over a year!) so we still aren't sure what she ate. She isn't 100% yet but she is SO much better than last night. (thank god I hardly slept last night...I kept calling to check on her!) I will keep you all updated when we learn more later this week! |

| She doesn't have any of those string type bones or tug toys does she??? Those are bad because they can ingest the strings. I hope your baby is doing better tomorrow!! So scary when they are sick and can't tell us what hurts.
