I am glad you are taking him in always better to be safe ![]() I get his food from vet purina ha but first you need to see what is going on as could be high fat content in hot dog but usually it happens right away not 3 days later. yorks can have high fat content in blood naturally (high triglycerides) thus leaving them open to pancreatitis. My dex has high triglycerides on 12 hr fasting blood work so this is why we feel also he is prone to pancreatitis. I caution anyone whose york has this to have their dog on low fat diet and no fatty acid supplements. Purina ha is 8% fat but first you need to know what is going on so let us know and we can further help you ![]() | |

| ![]() Well we are back from the vet. The vet said he has been seeing a lot of diarrhea and vomiting this past week. He said he was going to treat Louis as though he has pancreatitis. He gave him a shot of penicillin and Metoclopramide (for vomiting I think) and Pro-Pectalin for diarrhea. He said to give Louis 1 tbs of boiled chicken and rice later on tonight. He told me that if Louis doesn't show any improvement by tomorrow morning to bring him in to have blood work done. (He told me to call either way to let him know how Louis is doing, which I thought was nice.) The last time I weighed Louis he was 6lbs, 8ozs. Today he only weighed 5lbs. 8ozs. Poor guy. I can't believe he lost one pound! ![]()
