Well we are back from the vet. The vet said he has been seeing a lot of diarrhea and vomiting this past week. He said he was going to treat Louis as though he has pancreatitis. He gave him a shot of penicillin and Metoclopramide (for vomiting I think) and Pro-Pectalin for diarrhea. He said to give Louis 1 tbs of boiled chicken and rice later on tonight. He told me that if Louis doesn't show any improvement by tomorrow morning to bring him in to have blood work done. (He told me to call either way to let him know how Louis is doing, which I thought was nice.) The last time I weighed Louis he was 6lbs, 8ozs. Today he only weighed 5lbs. 8ozs. Poor guy. I can't believe he lost one pound!
As soon as we got home Louis ran to his water bowl and got a drink. Another good thing! Thanks again for everyones advice and encouraging words!
