| I just want to make sure - do you mean she has Pneumonia? We wouldn't want to give you the wrong advice.

| Sometimes running a hot shower enough to get the room really steamy, then turn off the water and let her stay in the steamed up room for 5 minutes at a time may provide some relief. When my dog had pneumonia, the vet put him in a nebulizer for a bit to get the antibiotics directly into his lungs, then we went home with oral ABs and he was much improved by the next day. (less than 24 hours) If her gum color is anything but pink... I would consider getting her to an ER Vet for some oxygen/nebulizer treatment. The new meds should work quickly....if she seems to be getting worse instead of better, I'd get her back in or to another vet for a 2nd opinion. Also... stay with her. Mine got so bad he would drift off and actually stopped breathing on me a few times... I think if I wasn't there to wake him he would have died. He would just not take the next breath, and I could see his tongue begin to turn purple/blue. He did recover, but it was horrible to go through it with him.

| I wouldnt wait I would take Stella back to the vet today. Pneumonia is nothing to mess with if you are seeing signs of decline she may need to be on an IV and getting oxygen

| I have never seen a Breeder have so much trouble. Why would you allow that week old puppy to nurse while the mom is taking antibiotics? Stella needs to be seen by a vet today. You may lose her if you dont. Why would you consider walking a dog with Pneumonia? I Dont mean to be harsh, but its one disaster after another. |

Massage along the thoracic spine, do gentle tamponade against side ribs. Do passive and very gentle ROM throughout shoulderblades and side ribs. Almost as if your dog was doing the back/front crawl with their shoulderblades. Dairy not a great idea now as dairy can increase mucus, but you must keep her strength up with whatever she will eat. I wish you the best , continue to check gums, whites of eyes, etc, and the very first sign of distress bring her in to your VET. PPL and dogs DIE of pneumonia.

| I hope your little girl gets well quickly and that the puppy hangs in there and grows up, it doesn't sound as though you need another tragedy. Good luck, let us know how she is doing.

| I would also try to get he to lay on your lap with her rear end a little higher than her front end and then sort of tap on each of her sides where her lungs are. Sometimes it helps loosen up congestion in there and the elevation of the rear end allows gravity to give you a hand too. Good luck.... |

| Please check with your vet as to wether or not it is safe for the pup to be so close with mom as pneumonia can be contagious. Sounds like you have had a rough road, praying everyone is well quickly. Also is mama on mucinex ? it's very good for pneumonia. Ask your vet about it. |
