| Tink is not adjusting well to Texas :( Tink is sick. She's had diarrhea for two weeks now. The vet put her on chicken and rice only and gave her some tablets with activated charcoal, pepto and something else in it. It's not working. She has some horrible allergies and the vet says that's what's causing the problem. My carpet is in bad shape and Tink is making a mess of her crate. She can't help it and when I get home she's standing in a corner leaning on the crate trying to stay out of the poo. It's horrible. I feel like a rotten mommy. And if i didn't crate her, it would be all over the house. My shampooer is getting a workout anyway. Please say a prayer for her if you see this. |

| Poor little angel. I hope you get her straightened out soon. In the meantime, have you tried an x-pen? You could pad it down well (I have seen people use cheap shower curtains under and then piddle pads over that) and put her crate in there so she could go in and out. That way it will not be all over the house.

| Just a guess, but from the title of your thread, have you considered it may be the water?

That's a great idea! I'll have to keep a close eye on her when I'm home and she's out, but actually, my kitchen is tiled and I could just put up a gate and put her crate in there so she can get out if she needs to. I'm so used to not having any option, I forgot I now have a tiled kitchen floor. Thanks for getting the brain thinking.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Hi Susie! I'm sorry to hear Tink isn't doing well in Texas. poor little thing have you tried giving her plain yogurt for the good bacteria? I give it to morgan when she has an upset tummy and it helps her with the diarrhea. what kind of allergies does Tink have?

| Thanks for the idea but I don't think so. I had our water tested when we moved down here to be sure it was OK for us. I do have a filter on it to make it taste better, so she gets filtered water. |

The vet said she has allergies to the pollen. She said her poo was full of it so she must be inhaling it. It's everywhere, all over the car, the windows, the patio furniture. I'm struggling with it too but I'm having rotten headaches from it.

| Bless her heart. I am so sorry. What do you think is going on? The weather, the stress of the move? Have you found a new vet yet?

| Oh, the cedar pollen? Yellow dust-like?

| My husband says it's pine pollen, not cedar. Poor baby.

| I think your husband is right. We made it through cedar fever season but this is something different. I think I should head to the HEB and get some yogurt. I thot about giving her a little pepto tonight to calm her poor tummy. |

| Poor baby! I hope she feels better. Maybe you can google allergy remedies for babies/small children and see if you can get some ideas.
