Just stopped in to see if there was an update. It sounds like good news. Glad Carlo is out of surgery and hope he has a speedy recovery. Praying for good results on his labs.

That is a sled he was pulling. When we were out in AZ, he was a Champion Weight puller. They pulled sleds either on wheels or skids, and usually they were loaded with bricks or metal. When he was young, he was a beast....but in a good way.
Great news and what an amazing picture, what power and strength it shows, beautiful dog. I can't believe he woke up from surgery and was standing, but after looking at the picture this is one strong dog. My prayers are with you and your family.

I just talked to the Surgical Hospital. He is doing real well. We are now going to leave for a visit. Thanks again for all of those powerful thoughts and notes. You are all the best.

Nancy, even as sick as he got, 4 grown men could not hold him, and they had to put him out for the Ultra scan. He once literally dragged me down the street in AZ when his girlfriend Daisy, and English Bulldog came out. So gentle, yet so powerful.

What wonderful news!.......So far so good!......This *big boy* is not going to let this get him down, he's going to kick this in the azz and keep on running!!....Go Carlo go!!....:)

Just wonderful news. Yay, Carlo :)! What a strong fella. Lotsa hugs to the little man.

I'm so glad to hear he did so well I knew he would, I just felt it :)

Steve, I am so glad to hear that Carlo is doing so well after his surgery. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers -- praying extra hard for good test results.

Cherish every moment you have with your Grand Ole Man. I understand the blessing it is to have him in your life for as long as you have. Here's hoping for many more years of companionship.

So Glad to hear that Carlo is out of surgery and it went so well! Give that big man a kiss for me. I love that breed.

Went and spend a few minutes with Carlo. They took his IV for Pain med off, but her still has a pain patch on, as well as an IV for Antibiotic and hydration. He did not eat this morning, but they said that is normal, so tonight they said we could make him some bland Chicken and Rice, so we will bring him that, and one of his favorite Toys (No, not Maxine). Over all, they said he is doing remarkable, and never saw a 10+ year old Mastiff in such good shape. That is really helping him recover, but he takes pain so well, it took me a bit to realize that he was sick. He regular vet called to check on us. She is the best, and said we will take it one strp at a time, if he needs Chemo after a few weeks, etc. So, keep the positive vibes coming, as he is doing well, but we have a way to go on this next journey.
