| Get the stinger from as close to the tip sticking in the body as possible so as not to squeeze the venom from the stinger into the body. I use my fingernail and scratch and kinda flick it off. You need to call and ask your vet for the dose. Never give meds by dose given on the internet always check with your vet. And you need to know the exact weight of your dog. | YT 500 Club Member | with people its recommended that you use a blade. When my sister got stung a few summers ago i got a razor blade and almost laying it flat against her skin draggin it across in the direction the stinger went in that way you dont disturbe the sac. It was actually pretty funny my older sister was scared of me for once lol

| Wow, that is exactly how my little boy did when he got stung last year. He let out a yelp and lifted his paw and was running around. I immediately picked him up and looked at his paw but saw no stinger at all. And then all of a sudden he went limp in my arms, unresponsive and he pood all over himself and me. We went straight to the er where they were waiting on us( we called ahead of time telling them we were on our way) and they took him back and gave him a shot and then went in the back to wash all the poo off him. He also pood twice in the car while we were hauling a** to the er. It was so scary. So I know exactly what you were going through. The vet said he had a severe allergic reaction to the bee sting. It took him awhile it seems to fully recover from it. |
