| ![]() Sometimes when you are pinching BB's back he can not feel it at all. His worse legs when he broke his neck was his front legs they would roll and not hold him now they have become stronger and his back is weaker he has is doing this all from memory I would say but if you put a belly band on him forget it he does not walk right. I am sorry I missed your PM. I know a while back I deleted a bunch because I had read them on my email but I do not remember yours. Please except my apologies for not getting back to you. This is where you can look for a therapy place like the one BB went to in your area. IAAMB Member Directory | International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork sorry I am not good with the way Canada does thier addresses and towns. Please let me know if you found where you need to be hon. again I am sorry I did not get back to you.

| ![]() Layla is really inspirational and so are you!! I have a little girl, Brooke, that has a brain disease and she unfortunately relapsed 3 wks ago after almost 2 years of remission. Brooke is my hero, she is so strong and so happy and greets each day like nothing is wrong even though she is on high dose steroids and chemo. We receive more from them than we possibly could give back, they sure are little fighters. All the best to you and Layla.

I checked through the link and there are none in my province. The closest is about 6 hours away. Do you have any idea what they do or if it's something I could try to replicate at home? Thank you so much for your advice. Give Babybear a hug from me and Layla ![]()

| ![]() Wow...Layla looks great!! Both you and Layla (and Scott) are such inspirations to me. You are all so dedicated to helping Layla and each other through the ordeal. It's wonderful to see Layla's progress and how happy she is. You are wonderful for doing all you can for her .... she is a lucky little girl and you are lucky to have her too. ![]()

| ![]() Thank you! I took the weekend off work (but I'm paying for it now!!!) and had such a nice weekend at home with Scott and Layla! We went for our first family walk since she went down and she just loved it. We made it almost 5 blocks to the vet's office, and then I carried her halfway home ![]()

| ![]() Thank you! I'm not sure if I mentioned how strong her reflexes were at rehab on Friday, but yesterday they were even stronger. Her legs were doing strong kicks and walking movements with barely a touch. She's still progressing at least reflexively!

| ![]() Layla had an exciting weekend! My brother's girlfriend's kids stayed with us for the weekend but they were honestly such little angels with her. They are 5 and 6 years old and I was surprised at how careful they were. Yesterday they really wanted to go for a walk with Layla in her wheels so we all walked to the park. The kids played in the playground and we let Layla off her leash to explore. Sometimes it seems like she will walk most with a leash on. We want her to know she can get around without it. She just stood there for awhile but soon she was exploring ![]() ![]() ![]() On Thursday (or maybe Friday) something very strange happened. We snuggle with Layla before bed at night, so we brought her upstairs and put her on the bed while we went to brush our teeth. Usually she settles right in and waits. But that night, she would not stop barking! I came to check on her and she was acting very weird, pacing around the bed. She kept whipping her head backwards to look behind her as she would jump forward. Then, she whipped her head back and bit at her back foot! It was very strange because she has shown no interest in her back feet at all. It went away quickly though and she was back to normal. I wonder if she was feeling some sensations. We checked for deep pain though and she still had none, and still couldn't feel any further down her back. I will mention it to the vet though! We have cut back on treatments for financial reasons. She is now going for a rehab session once a week and an acupuncture session once a week. And we're going to try to increase how much we work with her at home. We're going to have trouble finding the time, but who needs sleep anyway? ![]()

| ![]() That's so great that she is learning she can go exploring without her leash. You are going to have to keep that picture forever and ever. I would cherish it so! I believe she was feeling something back there, but only time will tell. It's so uplifting to read about Layla's adventures and to know that you both have done everything possible to ensure she has an enjoyable life. She truly is a treasure!
