| We had a great weekend with Layla! We relaxed on the deck, ran around the yard, even played fetch! I would throw the ball and hold the sling up so she could run by and pick it up on her way! On Saturday night, Scott put a frozen chicken broth ice cube in her water bowl which made her slurp it all up, but he didn't tell me. He did it right after I expressed her. An hour later, she was sleeping in her bed and I noticed her tail go up. I kept watching but it didn't happen again. Another hour later I picked her up and she was soaked and so was her bed Her bladder had overflowed because of all that water. I expressed her immediately and it didn't even look or smell like pee... it was all just water! Poor girl. We washed her off in the shower Layla's vet is on holidays this week so she has no rehab. Yesterday, Scott's parents, sister, and baby nephew were passing through town and stopped at my office. The little baby turns 1 in two weeks and he was being helped to walk back to my desk. I pulled Layla out of her crate, she got one look at him, and ran (dragged) straight for him! HER TAIL WAS WAGGING! Definite wagging from exciting stimulus means there is nerve connection! It may have been just coincidence but I can't believe that! Not only that, but she was following the baby around on the floor, running all over the place, and I couldn't take my eyes off her back legs. It was like they were paddling. They weren't just dragging behind her. Her right one for sure kept trying to get underneath and then pushed her forward. Scott's mom asked if she was using her legs and I said it really looks like it, and I've never seen that before! Scott's sister came in from outside and Layla ran over to her. She asked the same thing, if she was using her legs. She knelt down to pet Layla, and Layla STOOD UP. She may have just put her weight forward like a cantilever, because she does that a lot, but it seemed different to me. I don't know, but I do know I was so excited I could cry! I was holding back my tears!

| Thanks so much The awesome thing is that she doesn't realize how amazing she's being, she just doesn't think anything is different. She just encouraged me to take a little work break to play fetch with her beside my desk She's doing everything any other dog can do!

| Goodness! Nothing can make me cry more than reading this thread! I can't wait to see what the vet says about her movements. Layla is such an inspiration with her inability to let this get her down. You're right, she's just like every other wonderful pup out there, she can do what they can do.

| Layla is so cute! Looking at that picture, you wouldn't see anything but a happy little yorkie. Can't tell she is having a problem with paralysis. A temporary problem, I sure hope.
