Thank you everyone, so much, from the bottom of my heart. I don't feel like I'm anyone special, or that I've done anything out of the ordinary. Layla has brought so much to my life and I can't give up on her just because she needs attention. I have needed her so many times before, and she never gave up on me! Last night before bed, she was dragging between two area rugs, and on about 1 ft of ceramic tile between them, she lifted her butt end up about an inch for one step. I don't know if her leg actually pushed up, or if it just got caught underneath and flipped out behind her, but I did see her raise up with a foot under her and it looked as if she was trying to walk. I am also still 95% sure she knows when she has to poop. She has been crying at all times of the day and when I take her out to poop, she's full. Sometimes so full that she lets it go before we get to the pad! And sometimes it's right there but I express it to make it go faster. So I think she knows when it's coming. Her vet will disagree, but who cares! She's back at rehab today since her vet is back from holidays. I'm sure she's having fun! |
Yes, you are special...you, Scott, and Layla are all very special. I love to watch to see how Layla does from week to week. There are always going to be special prayers for Layla to make progress. Even if she doesn't, we all feel Layla is very special. I would believe you know more about what is happening with Layla than the vet who does not live with her and see the changes that you see. I understand what you are saying and I believe you are right!:) |
I just got the phone call that Layla's cart is being shipped this afternoon :D |
That's great, there is no stopping that spunky little girl!!:) |
Yeah for Layla...hopefully that will make her movement easier! :animal-pa |
YAY!!! She's going to do great with her cart!!!! :D |
Wow I just read your whole thread (took me a long time ;)) I couldnt believe reading what I did, and more so I couldnt believe that someone as good as you exists! I need to say that I am so impressed by the way that you have handled everything. You sound lke an amazing person going through this situation, and Im not sure if Ill be able to be so strong. Just remember that God doesnt always work the way that we want Him to. He does it in His time, and to what He thinks is good for us. A very good saying that I love goes as follow: "...Unless you are God, there is always a bigger picture..." Maybe God brought you on this road to make you stronger and to bring you and your man closer together? He does sound like a very good guy for not only standing by you through this time, but also loving her with all his heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your little girl xxx |
