| ![]() You are the best Mommy ever Yen! I know this first hand by all of the emails that you shared with me before, during, and after you got DaVinci. You always have your furbabies best interests at heart, and you truly care about their well being. They are spoiled rotten, and well loved...just as they should be! My heart breaks for you and Milu. I hope that soon you will both feel at peace after such a tragic loss. Sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts your way. I'm thinking of you often.

| ![]() I haven’t posted in awhile because Roriee has been doing so well.. she has AAI and we have been living with it since last Nov 09. she has done extremely well until today.. she has had a relapse and I am just making sure that she is very still and try not to move her at all... I have her meds and I have slowly been decreasing her dosage, because of the long term steroid usage is also bad…she also wears a collar all the time except today somehow she got her collar off, and I didn’t notice because she had on a black tee-shirt and her collar is home made and black also... my roommate was holding her and she started thrashing around and boom.. all of a sudden she yelped and john felt her head hit his arm hard. She is in total relapse and in extreme pain if she moves much. But with AAI its like she has 2 choices and I cannot get her the surgery until I have all the donations... I was even considering not having it at all... even her vet called her a miracle dog and that I brought her back with very good nursing and love. well this proves that is not enough. I am afraid that I might loose her this time... her eyes are not focused and when she tries to move she gets so panicked that she makes herself worse... I just now got her comfortable again and this time her tongue is sticking out a bit… I am scared but I am doing the same as the vet would do. her collar to stabilize. her meds increased and I syringe her pedisure every 2 hours and water every 1 hour… so if you have AAI, its very serious but if you can afford the surgery then the recovery is good…make sure you see a neurologist and one that is familiar with this condition.. my vet had never seen this before and because of this site she got diagnosed correctly… this time I know what to do so I sure hope that brings her back quicker then last time.. poor little thing…. She has been doing so well that if you didn’t notice the collar you wouldn’t know she had anything wrong with her! I make sure she doesn’t jump or go up and down stairs… I carry her most all the time but when we are home and I am walking around the house she follows me everywhere or she is in her pen…I cannot believe she lost her collar today… I had a spare and I grabbed it and the Velcro is better.. so I guess that is what has happened.. the Velcro just came loose and the collar came off.. now my baby is back in pain and I am worried…say prayer for her please! Randi and Roriee

| ![]() I'm so sorry. I don't know anything about this. Is she able to move all of her extremities? Any change in that respect? I'm so hoping that someone who has been through this comes on and can help you more. I feel so helpless and don't feel of much help to you. Maybe if you see a change in her, you should get her to the emergeny vet.

| ![]() Agreed. You cannot put this off any longer. She could end up paralyzed or worse. If you can't afford her surgery, please get her into rescue ASAP as was suggested on your other thread. |
