Poppy just swallowed a piece of gum!

I hope she is ok and didn't eat it after all. I would triple look everywhere until you can get to the vet and see if you can find it. Maybe your vet can look up what to do and be ready for you when you come in to save on er bills. Please keep us posted.

Yes, I'm currently actually taking my sectional apart piece by piece. When my husband gets here he's going to help me move all the big furniture and tear everything apart. She hides things under the sectional and it's HUGE and heavy and we've found tons of stuff under here and it's where I saw her with the wrapper (next to it) so it's highly possible the gum could have slipped under there and I'm not seeing it.

I really don't think she ate it (an orbit piece of gum is big for her to swallow in one gulp, not impossible but like I said, I have to break her treats, which are half the size and a much easier to swallow texture up into pieces for her to eat and she certainly didn't have time to wet the piece enough to get it slippery) but I am not going to take chances here, I keep reading horror story after horror story. I'm PRAYING this is all just my own paranoia.

If you don't find it by the time your husband gets home, I wouldn't waste anymore time. I'd get her to the vet asap. In this case it's much better to be paranoid and over cautious.
