I really don't think she ate it (an orbit piece of gum is big for her to swallow in one gulp, not impossible but like I said, I have to break her treats, which are half the size and a much easier to swallow texture up into pieces for her to eat and she certainly didn't have time to wet the piece enough to get it slippery) but I am not going to take chances here, I keep reading horror story after horror story. I'm PRAYING this is all just my own paranoia.

If you don't find it by the time your husband gets home, I wouldn't waste anymore time. I'd get her to the vet asap. In this case it's much better to be paranoid and over cautious.
