if so then why biopsy? They have to punch skin and then do one to two stitches for that

To rule out more severe issues.
Right now, as long as it stays as is, vet isn't too concerned.

B/c Ellie would be under, the punches and stitches aren't a problem for me.

ok it is just a sensitive area is all as dex had crusty nostril and that can be dry eye, lupus, or just dry skin and to determine lupus they do a biopsy of nostril and derm told me it is very sensitive area Lupus is auto immune and steroids are used for it - I would find out all the things it could be and see what treatment was and if no real treatment other than what you are doing with steroid use etc so then you can make decision from there. I am curious to see what this could be since dd has something similar and derm said first rule out thyroid so going this week for blood work

I am.
I was thinking about an rx diet (we had already tried three in the last couple-few years that just made things worse). I thought maybe we should try another one since homecooking isn't working as well as I'd like it too (no fault of homecooking itself...it is purely Ellie's issue). But her nutritionist says we need to find something hoomecooked that works first before even considering rx. Sooo, yes we still do HC and apparently I have no choice right now. Couldn't feed her dog food even if I wanted to.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for little Ellie Belly. I know that when you talk to her specialist about the diet some more, she will figure something out. Maybe cooking the rabbit is the way to go....
