vomiting yorkie..please help

i am going to look into stress colitis, though i dont think this is the reason for throwing up..cuz he is terrified of everything, and i dont know if he'll get over it. I mean, he sees a leaf or pinecone, and cowers away scared..like hes NEVER seen any of these simple items..is he going to get over this? or does he need some anxiety meds? cuz he jumps/cowers every time ANY noise happens, if i cross my legs he jumps..and pretty much any other random thing scares him.

It will go away but it takes alot of time. I rescued demi and she had submissive urination so if you approached her too quick she rolled over and peed all over herself but it took along time and me ripping out 2k worth of brand new carpet a 5k laminate floor and now she is doing much better lollllll guess she did not like the carpet lol - she does it sometimes now but not nearly as much as when we first got her

I couldnt find any chlorhexidine wipes at dr foster web page. i typed it in and it came up with some other dental stuff but no wipes...he def wont let me stick anything in his mouth..MAYBE my finger to do wipes, but i see nothin like that. Is it the dental cleanse pads?? cuz those look too big..

Plz let me know so i can order i need somethin cuz he wont let me come near him with a toothbrush lol

Sounds like kennel cough. My two male yorkies both react to the vaccine with these symptoms. It is respiratory and can be treated with antibiotics. Did the Vet mention this?

have you tried the ear or eye wipes as well cuz i can get a 3 pk for 20 dollars (ear, eye, and teeth) that has 90 pads for each and i was thinking that would be better if they work

nope, he has never said that. i did think of that tonite for some reason, which is very ironic..the shelter wrote in his records book that they vaccinated him for bortetella when they got him...that would have been early feb cuz i got him feb 7th, and i noticed the throwing up starting about a week after i got him...still sound like its that??!! im gonna look it up, but since you have experience id love your advice

i looked it up, and nothing actually says throwing up is a symptom, just hacking...did yours throw up the nasty bubbly goo like timmy while eating? i can usually prevent his by eating slower with burp pauses. He does hack now randomly sometimes, which i never noticed before (nothing coming up) and he ALWAYS hacks after drinking water..again nothing coming up unless hes in the process of eating, at which time it is a really sticky sounding/looking white bubbly goo with consistency of egg yolk, sometimes with food in it sometimes not, but it always sounds very hard coming up, like its so sticky he has a hard time getting it out

I didn't always associate the mucousy vomit with eating. The two dogs just seemed overwhelmed with secretion. I likened it to excessive post nasal drip that had to come up because their heads were too stuffed up to eat and breath at the same time.?

and that was caused by the kennel cough? my vet did mention a possibility of a nasal drip at one point, but we didnt check it out or anything cuz he hasnt been back in since the barium. His mouth is sticky a lot, he gets all the toys all nasty looking. I may ask the vet about this if you really think it could be the answer. if not, we may end up doing bloodwork or an endoscopy or something. He doesnt throw up anymore if i take the time to feed him right, but i cant do that forever, so if theres an underlying cause we can get fixed that would be great to do so.

timmy is hacking excessively all the sudden nothing has changed, and he still plays and stuff, but now he hacks a dry cough randomly throughout the day, at the end it almost sounds like he is gonna get somethin up, but he never does. He has always kinda hacked after water, but this is for NO reason at all...could this really mean he has kennel cough this whole time??
its kinda a worrysome cough. I never notice him doing it at nite though (kennel cough it says is common at night for coughing fits). I really wish it was easter Sun tomorrow so i could take him to vet or call and ask

i watched all three and its def not the last 2, so if it is anything i guess it would be kennel cough. The kennel cough dog sounded a lot more mucousy than timmy does, but he def isnt reverse sneezing or collapsed trachea cuz theres no honking or painful sound at all, just a dry hacking.

im hoping the kay person who gave me the idea to look into this gets back on to give me more advice on what she experienced and what she knows about this
i really wish it wasnt easter tomorrow, cuz if he keeps doing it im going to be worried sick! He's been fine for about an hour now, but still he was doing it repeatedly for a while there and its scary

talked to vet. he doesnt think kennel cough or reaction to vaccine. he was reluctant to do bloodwork bc he thinks it'll come out clean, but we're going to do it anyway on friday! we'll talk about our options then i guess. im still considering switching vets bc he doesnt seem to be trying very hard to find out what it is, and he CLEARLY doesnt know.

All this dry hacking...he's been checked for heartworm, right?
