It is all so odd - last night it seemed she drank too much water but wed we do not believe it was after drinking water. I guess we will find out tonight as it always happens at night about 2-3 hrs after eating. Last edited by dwerten; 03-28-2010 at 04:45 PM.

We did the barium, which is where you can see the stuff going thru the digestive system like you mentioned and all was well. I have no idea why my vet didnt take bloodwork but im kinda annoyed b/c apparently HE SHOULD HAVE. so if i have another episode with timmy ill probably make sure thats the next thing my vet does

i obviously cant feed spice ONE at a time, like i do for him..and i hope i dont have to for him forever. And he always interrupts when im tryin to love on her by herself. Maybe im just thinkin this and feelin guilty for no reason lol i know she loves him cuz they play like CRAZY and sleep together or near each other by choice...which is adorable btw but how do you do it? i know you have special needs ones and non special needs ones

| Is it even possible for timmy to have worms again?! i saw something in his poopy today that to me looked like worms, but i dont think they looked like the ones i saw last time. None were moving even with my attempt to make them. I saw like 3-4 and they were short and fat. I was wondering if this is possible since i have dewormed him like 3 times since i got him, once from the vet himself, and he is on interceptor now. (he has had 2 doses so far, but the last dose he threw up a tiny bit few hours later so not sure if it came up at all) Im not sure whether to worry bc i gave him a new treat yesterday that is a yogurt bite that looks like a white chocolate chip to me. Could it just be little strips of that coming out??? Should i deworm him AGAIN!??

i looked up tapeworms and it says they get it from ingesting fleas/lice...he has not been around fleas, BUT those nasty ducks that are nesting around our apartment make me think they could have lice, he licked ground, and WHAM..worms! I hope not, cuz theres nothin we can do about the ducks except call animal control and i dont like the idea of them being killed.

| called vet and decided to deworm timmy again. the vet tech said if it is tapeworms he may have already had it and it sometimes takes more than one treatment to get them all. So may end up deworming spice as well. but the good news is we caught it, hes not losing weight, and we should have this fixed once again in a couple days bad news is i still need to get rid of these damn ducks! the tech said he could have def gotten them from eating lice off the ground from the ducks..ICK!

| gave them their pills, and OF COURSE timmy threw up 3 times with that meal, including the pill itself..so now i have to give him another one. Im just gonna feed him first, and THEN when i know that his food is holding well and what not, i will give the pill in a treat again..thats THE ONLY way i could get either of them to eat it was to put it physically into a treat. lets hope 2nd times a charm cuz if not then ill have to pay for more pills when i already paid for these!

| finally got the dewormer pill in timmy! he threw up AGAIN! and all he had was the pill and the treat that it was shoved in..dunno why the throw up but i let him eat most of it to make sure he got the meds. I HOPE IT TOOK! i think it probably did. Theres a followup treatment for 2 wks from now...so anything we miss should get fixed then but as much as this poor boy has been dewormed in the last few months HE BETTER NOT get them again. We'll see i guess. Sometimes i do get a little worried again about his throwing up..he doesnt do it when i feed him slow with pauses for burps..but i thought we were making progress with his chewing each piece, and that i wouldnt have to do this feeding FOREVER, but when things like today happen, it makes me wonder/worry once again if i will ever be able to feed him like a normal dog..or if he has something we need to find out about. i am going to look into stress colitis, though i dont think this is the reason for throwing up..cuz he is terrified of everything, and i dont know if he'll get over it. I mean, he sees a leaf or pinecone, and cowers away scared..like hes NEVER seen any of these simple items..is he going to get over this? or does he need some anxiety meds? cuz he jumps/cowers every time ANY noise happens, if i cross my legs he jumps..and pretty much any other random thing scares him.
